Hey so when I first got my Infuse, I added numbers and it just sort of automatically synced to my facebook, a friend of mine has a new last name so I went in there to change it and now he facebook profile picture is gone and its not linked anymore. So I went to settings, accounts, and I clicked "sync facebook contacts" or something like that, but that did nothing...how am I supposed to get the pictures and info to show back up when they are in my contacts?

is the contact an existing gmail contact or strictly a facebook contact?

Just a facebook contact. I don't have anyone on my phone in my gmail contact list but they are all in there with their facebook profiles.

gotcha..you need to delete them as a friend and re add them on facebook.com...then go to menu.settings.accoutns and syn and manually sync facebook

that usually fixes it.

This is actually a continuing problem with facebook...not your phone. eventually it will work itself out and they will reappear ..but I ahve read the above is a fast fix

i had a similar problem... you said that "his picture is gone and its not linked anymore" - this means there is still a contact for him in your contacts app, just with no picture?

if this is the case, try this: go to contacts, click on your friend's entry, then click on the black space with some logos under "joined contacts" - is there a "joined contact" with his Facebook picture? probably not, since it isn't showing up anymore. if you click on "join another contact" on the bottom of the screen, does a contact with his Facebook picture show up? if so, join that contact to the other one, and it should solve your problem.

i had to mess with this for a couple of different problems - one was the problem that you described, and the other was that Facebook was syncing incorrect Facebook friends with my google contacts (i.e. - i have a few mike smith's, both in my google contacts and on Facebook, and Facebook could not tell who was who, so i had to do it manually).
