Help Crazy Voicmail Issue, need help please!

Ok, so last night I decided to finally root my evo, but then found out (after system format...doh!) that stupid gingerbread won't let you root. Talk about mad... Anyway, so since formatting my system, all of a sudden I no longer get voicemail. Instead, I'm getting crazy texts telling me I have sms voice messages, and I have to call a number to get them. I DO NOT like this, and I have no idea how to get my regular vm back... Can anyone help?

I'm using handcent, btw, in case that matters somehow, not that it should.

Go to the Handscent set up and make sure that it is not set as the default messaging system. Had this problem too.
It should clear after that.
