Favorite App so far.... Developers please see link to Announcements above.

An app I find really useful is Automated Away Text Messaging. You are able to customize text messages to automatically send to those who call and text you during the times you know you are going to unavailable (driving, at work, in a meeting, etc). You can customize who it gets sent to (your phone contacts only or anyone who calls or texts while you are unavailable). I find it very useful especially during driving when I absolutely refuse to respond to texts. You can also customize a specific message for a specific person. When you make it active there is an icon that shows up in your notification bar to remind you that the service is on. You do need to remember to shut it off when you do not need it anymore. I have it set to send my message to missed texts only, not phone calls but you can set it to both. It is 99 cents. Great support from the developer as well!

I get a headache just looking at screenshots of Tasker.... Is it easier to use than it appears?

I love tasker and if you do much to your phone at all it really isn't hard to set up some very useful profiles. Plus there is plenty of help to get you set up...

By far my favorite Android app :D:cool:

haha i herd once you set it up and do all the reading to set it up its great haha but good luck with that

It really isn't that hard to set up, and you only have to set it up once. Some of the things I do:

-auto reply to SMS while driving
-mute ringer and notifications while sleeping
-turn on wifi, change wallpaper, and mute phone while at work
-turn on car dock and launch slacker when I get in my car

Those are just a few, and I could set them up from scratch in 10 min. Tell me this app isn't worth setting up....

Plus there are more things I do

it sounds legit but it aint an app i really see my self using that much but that is just me

No app is for everybody... That's why there are apps. Otherwise phones would just preloaded with everything that people want.

Just saying tasker is the most powerful android app, if you don't need it, that's fine. There are plenty of very useful apps that I have no need for also.

I haven't tried yet since I'm with you on this...it looks complicated XD It's on my list of things to do. There's a 7 days trial on the website for you to test out and there are step by step instructions on basic instructions that allow you to get your feet 'wet'.

Yup, heard of Tasker but this standalone app is really all I need at this point. This noob still needs things as simple as possible! :D

Don't worry - you can easily jump from noob to knowing more than you thought you ever would fairly quickly with these phones!

Ooohh - didn't see that - good to know. I will add it to my 'Check & Done' list. :D
