Help myTouch 4G - Android 2.3.4 Camera Auto focus

Hi...
I upgraded my Mytouch 4G to gingerbread-mt4g-deck (android 2.3.4).. runs really smooth and I really like it, but the only thing I dont like is the auto focus on the camera and video camera do not work.

Also the camera app looks crappy and old school. Any ideas where I can find a new camera/video camara I can use that has auto focus? thanks.

I believe if you look through the change log there should be some kind of bug report on it, any time you flash a Rom ALWAYS do a full wipe, most devs will tell you that even if your doing an update to a newer version of the same Rom you should always do a wipe.

There are other camera.apks of 2.3.4 out there you can install your self to correct the issue too but again I would go look through their change log to see if they posted a fix for it.

I just got a mytouch 4g and it's very nice. I am perplexed though because when I send or receive a text from someone in my contacts, it's just their # that appears as opposed to their name. I often have no idea who it is without scrolling through my contact #s and using deductive reasoning. My question is, is it because they're not stored in the sim card or the phone? They're all in what's called t mobile contacts backup (96 of them)? How do I put them where they need to go?

I ususally just keep my contacts in my sd card..then once you're in the contacts section, press menu, import form sd card. hope that helps.
