Do you use the phone as your primary mp3 player?

I have a iPod touch as my primary Mp3 player but when i didnt charge the iPod or misplaced it or just in a hurry i use the behold.
now since its cold out and i do the treadmill at the gym i use behold (i use Nike+ to track my runs with the ipod)

I dont have the time to fool with getting playlists over to the behold i just use pandora or lastfm on the behold. I only have 2cds loaded on the behold and like the player but like i said i sucked the apple itunes teet and dont have the time to ween off it.

My one issue is controlling playback. With my mp3 player I can hit stop. forward/backwards, and change volume all without looking and in my pocket. Though the bluetooth headphones sounds interesting, does it allow for controlling playback?

yes, you have al the same functionality using BT as you would being wired. Even better, you dont need to touch the screen. I get to the gym and usually just set my droid up ontop of a poiece of equipment. As long as you stay with 60 ft or so its crystal clear. I dont even carry it around the gym.

Thats very nice. So what kind of bt headphones you use?

It's gonna be hard to get the Isheep off the iphone Icrack ... As far as syncing MUSIC to your phone , best way is to use WindowsMediaPlayer , it has a sync feature which is very fast with Android phones . All you have to do is choose your playlist add to sync list , then hit start sync.... ,of all the videos on the web I am yet to see one showing this method ,all you will find is videos showing how well itunes work with the iphone and not android ... so lets see Itunes = iphone which is the only way to keep the Isheep hooked on Icrack ....hmmmm

There's a program for Mac called "Doubletwist" that syncs with Android and several other devices. I haven't really tried it out yet, I'm still a addicted to iCrack! Also There's a really neat little app called "Songbird" that's suppose to sync with Android, again I haven't tried it, it's available for top 3 platforms (AKA... Mac, Windows, Linux). I like it's free music search feature and it's skin-able. I think I'll put my efforts into Songbird syncing since I already have music in it's library. But first...........where's my iCrack pipe????!!!!!

Sync Android, PSP, BlackBerry, Pre: doubleTwist with Amazon MP3

Songbird - Welcome

Man people are so harsh on the apple product. yeah its all proprietary and stuff.

but for me with work, kids, wife, social life, gym, and trying to carve out some time for myself i dont need to be fooling around searching the intertubez for 5 replacements to do one thing i already have.

yes i am stuck on itunes cause after MusicMatch got bought out i just moved over to itunes and been happy ever since. its a simple product that just works with out fuss and searching interwebs for help.

I would have a iPhone if ATT provided at least an average product here in chicago.

call me iSheep if you want i am ok with it. One thing i wont do is buy a Mac, i dont see paying $2500 for a laptop when a HP can do the same for $500.

RealPlayer and Rhapsody will be a solution to online media in the sense that it will allow pre_converted media ( like iTunes does for the iphone ) to be either downloaded or hopefully synced to android devices ( as of now it looks like is going to be just streaming but sync could be added soon ) . If this does happen its gonna piss off the iCrack dealers over @ apple

Pssst…It’s Android/Rhapsody News…

I wasn't being harsh on Apple or iTunes, I love them! I'm a MacAddict all the way, 15 years now! And I'm not gonna get in a pissing contest over platforms. But I work on all my friends "windows" computers, usually scanning for viruses or wiping the harddrive and reload. I hear all their horror stories! I've turned a few into MacHeads! No matter what platform you choose, people just need to get a little in tune with their machines and do a little preventative work! I'll pay a little more for my computer to forgo some of the headache!!!

Give up my 80 gigs for 16? I don't think so. I didn't do it for the iTouch and I am absolutely not doing it for an SD card. Foolishness. My phone can carry some of my "to go" stuff but it is not a replacement for my main player quiet yet. As has already been said, who wants to go hunting for a "possible" fix for something that isn't broken?

80 gigs of music is overkill. Is it even humanly possible to listen/view all that content?

8 gigs is good enough for me. I can put 300-400 songs that I have on heavy rotation, plus about 8-10 movies with plenty of room to spare. I guess it's okay if people want to walk around with their entire musical history on 1 device but a quick playlist sync is only a few feet away from my pc.

Whatever floats your boat. A Rolls Royce is overkill to a certain demographic. A 6 bedroom house is overkill to a certain demographic. A $600 pair of high heel shoes is overkill - Well, maybe not the shoes, LOL. The purpose of buying an 80 gig device is portability. I didn't buy it to ditch it for a smaller capacity player...what would be the point??? And yes, I enjoy having my entire catalog of music, videos, podcast videos and audio plus large volumes of audiobooks in one convenient [portable] place...That's why I bought the thing. As my mood changes I have a selection of whatever I'd like, to entertain me at my fingertips. I may never use it to fullest capacity but that is my business. It works for me just fine tyvm.

I have not decided what role my Android will play in the mix. It's a great phone and I have not begun to explore all of its capabilities. Syncing to iTunes isn't one of its functions at present. I rely upon iTunes to keep my podcast video and audio subscriptions updated.

Lol I am sure $600 high heels is an over kill haha but anyways I think there might be some apps to stream from pc to android so that it wouldn't take up space on your sd card so that you could have room for 4000 pictures lol or videos.

Ever since i purchased my sony ericsson w800i back in 2005 any phone ive owned must have a good mp3 player as well as a decent camera. A phone for me has become my all in one mp3 player w/ bluetooth stereo, camera, internet/email and now gps, and amoled screen. Oddly enough though i was ok with not having a 3 1/2 jack till now, but i know now that i cant go backwards. As far as memory goes in 05 the biggest card on the market was a 2gb card that i paid 125$ for and that was alot of memory at the time, now that i have a 16gb card i have more than enough memory to keep 5-6 movies on my phone and 6-8gb of music. Keep in mind that 32gb cards will be available in march-april so anyone that needs more memory its coming.

So back to the original question =)
Yes, I do use the phone now as my default MP3 player. I'd reiterate the lack of external controls other than volume as a mild issue, but my iTouch can't do that either. Syncing hasn't been a problem at all, as doubleTwist works perfectly well.

Controls** get a pair of bluetooth headphones , the motorolla S9 and S9 HD are the smallest and more comfortable ones out there , sound is great and you can control the phone's media player with it . Just make sure (if you want to use the default player) that all other media players you have installed ,you go to their menu>settings and clear *enable headset* , or when you use the controls you will open more than one player ....
