With what you have accomplished so far without a phone, you have my trust on getting CM7 ported to the triumph. I donated a few bucks- hopefully everyone will be able to donate you some cash so we can see this go through asap.

Thanks!

PS. If you ever need anything tested or whatever- I'm willing to help. I am a computer programmer- although still in school- however I am new to android.

As others have stated... You have more than earned our trust at this point. I will contribute a bit once I get home to my wallet. To everyone else: We often beg and plead for the development that will get us the features we want or the modifications we desire. We then spend time nitpicking all the issues that arise or complain about the feature sets missing. What we often miss is that someone or some group of dedicated people are pouring countless hours of their lives into the thankless task of developing so that the greater community might benefit. I implore each of you to step up to the plate and donate a small contribution to this. It will not take many of us to get this phone into his hands. We have the ability to make a push for the roms we seek right here and now.

Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. :)

I've been able to build up the device configs so far without the phone. Hopefully, I can do even more when I finally get one.

In related news, I've gotten to a point where I feel I can build a test of CM7. I just have to make sure of some things and then I'll build it. Hopefully, you guys can boot it.

I am about to donate, but I would like this answered from you directly.
When the final version of ClockWork Recovery is made by you, or whoever, will Rom Manager recognize it as flashed to my phone?
Will we even have our phone show up on rom manager?

If it's made by an independent dev, no. Koush (the guy that does CWM and ROM Manager) has some kind of hook that let's RM know that an official version is installed.

Until Koush adds the MT to the list of devices, it won't show up. However, I'm going to deploy MT ROMs via ROM share. This should make the Motorola Triumph show up in RM.

Alright! Thanks for the quick support. I can see you working hard on this.
Is you cwm near completion? Because I think I'm just going to wait to flash it. Or does that not matter.

No, with tjstyle getting a working CWM going, I focused my attention on CM7. He was supposed to share his sources with me, but has yet to do so. Techincally, when you build CM7, it autobuilds CWM with it. Mine might work better after I've included all the Motorola specific crap.

BTW, I've already started the build. It's failed on me 7 or 8 times already, but they were easy fixes:

I'm watching the wonderful waterfall of code as we speak:

Tj's. His version is 4.0.0.9, whereas mine is 4.0.1.4.

I followed your instruction without copying and replacing the img file and I got to an android system recovery? Will this install unsigned packages?

My steps were

1. Power off phone
2.Hold both volume rockers (- and +) and the power button.
3 Power on the phone, after the first vibration let all three buttons go (power,-,+)

4. You will arrive at the Android system recovery menu

What can this actually do??
