My HTC Hero which I have had for about 4 and a half months seems to be getting dirty from the back. It looks like seem green ink or something that seems to be painted on. It is a very dirty green, I tried everything to get rid of it. Heck, I have even used bleach but nothing works. Does anyone have any idea how to remove it? Worst case scenario I'll just buy a cover to hide its imperfections. All of sudden the black version doesn't seem that bad anymore :$

If it's the white one:

"Your phone has been treated with a special coating to keep it looking new and clean. Keep your phone dry to prevent dirt from adhering to the finish. If your phone gets dirty, you can use a lightly dampened melamine foam eraser (aka. magic eraser) to remove any marks."

From the HTC specification website
Like Mr.Clean magic eraser? And its like a shade of green has over come the back. It is darker right above the curve on the back and it gets lighter the higher it goes, so by the camera lens there is no green shade, but by the curve right underneath 'htc' it is very green. And once again will Mr.Clean magic eraser work? I'm Canadian some things you suggest we might not have :(

I believe it's an American product, though I believe it's a dense foam sponge type object. Think it's something like you're describing though. Sadly, mine's the 'graphite' colour and haven't had any discolouration issues as yet so I can't confirm or deny if it actually works. Sounds like it's where you would most wear down the casing though...primer colour behind the top layer?

Though, if it's green, maybe it's the android in your phone trying to come to the surface and escape  :p

LMAO ! You're probably right, it is the android haha :p But seriously though yea it is on the layer you can take out. Batter cover lol. I think its because, well I have no idea. But in the commercial they say Mr.Clean will clean everything down to dirt on your leather shoe. How hard can this be? :S
