Widget Locker question, Answering phone

I'd like to have a horizontal (widget locker) slider displayed when a phone call comes in. Currently when the phone rings, the widget locker lock screen is replaced by the HTC screen, which has a vertical swipe to answer an incoming call. I keep answering/rejecting the call by accident when I take it out of my pocket because my finger or clothing does a vertical swipe.
thanks

You can turn on the show in call feature. This will put the widgetlocker screen back over the HTC call screen, so you would slide to unlock widgetlocker which would then take you to the HTC call screen to see who is calling and if you want to answer or decline. This will also help decrease the infamous cheek hangups as once the light sensor senses your face in close it puts the screen back to sleep and widgetlocker kicks back in once you wake the phone again.

In widgetlocker its under the behavior menu, just check show in call.

I checked "show in call" but it didn't seem to change the behavior when I get a call. It still displays the HTC screen that requires you slide vertically to accept/reject call. I have an HTC Inspire 4G if that helps. tnx

I have an inspire also and it works for me. After the first ring does it go back to the widgetlocker screen that you unlock then takes you to the HTC answer call screen or is widgetlocker just not coming up during a during? Maybe try disabling widgetlocker then re enabling it? If for some reason that doesn't work there is also an app called don't hang up that can be used.

The HTC answer call screen is displayed as soon as the first ring sounds, and it stays that way until I either answer or it goes to voicemail.

Maybe try disabling widgetlocker then re enabling it?
Tried that, didn't seem to change. Hard to imagine it would work for your Inspire and not mine. Maybe I'll play a little more with it.

Thanks my backup plan. tnx

I don't believe Widgetlocker has permissions for handling incoming calls. Therefore, your "phone" application still needs to be there to answer the call. You could try using a replacement dialer, but trying to use Widgetlocker (even if you got it working) would only display the WL screen over the top of the incoming call, not replace it.

I believe the "display in call" feature is meant to display WL when you are on a call (talking) and not when the call is ringing.

You're correct, I've determined that by observation. So the point of buying WL was because I was hanging up on people when I pull my phone out of my pocket because it has a vertical swipe to accept. I wanted a horizontal swipe. Was I incorrect in thinking I could use the horizontal WL phone swipe to answer a call?

On my phone Widgetlocker appears over my incoming call screen after the first ring when i have the show in call box checked. Then I slide to unlock and my normal htc incoming call screen is there and I slide down to answer or up to ignore.

And yes Widgetlocker cannot answer the call, you still need to access the stock calling screen to answer the call.

I'm running WL 2.1.0, Android 2.2.1. Is it possible you have some other app installed that WL uses to implement that behavior? I would be happy if I could get my phone to display that behavior.
