The above link is to the root forum over on XDA-developers. Take a close look at the post #138. It you take all the capital letters that are out of place, it spells out URAFUDIDIT or...

They mention that they are waiting to get their website up to make a pretty big announcement...

I pointed that out but XDA considers "idiot" to be offensive and edited my post.

Is rooting on other devices, more specifically, the Hero, a lot like Jailbreaking an iPhone? Is there a program that gives you instructions and all you do is press a few buttons and click "OK" to move forward?

If not, why isn't it?

I'm still confused as to what role acidbath plays, what role that forum plays, and what role that post plays in indicating that the root is done, or nearly done. I think all confused each other so much in the past with 2.1 rumors, that we don't know what to believe anymore.

LOL..2.1 forums are insane...
If you check the XDA thread it will be clear.
But I will briefly state it here.
Myself and 2 other Xda members/Eris users (you can see all that info at XDA) created a website/forum/server for Developers to work in.
There were lots of issues going on where flaming and off topic and other less than helpful issues where dividing devs and just generally being a nuisance.
So we figured lets give a place for Devs to work and not deal with all the drama!
My role is Dev/Public Relations.
The devs are busy working and to busy to update forums and news and what not, so I was elected to do it for them.
We have several great devs, and the goal is to create a site and team that can stick together for awhile.
I know personally I have an Eris and Xperia, and will be getting an HD2 and cooking Roms for that.
And other memebers plan on getting other phones as well, so keeping a talented team together means quick rooting and hacking and what not.
I will forwarding our progress and news to Caddyman, because he is a well respected and followed user here in these forums.

Hope that clears some questions up....more to flollow this weekend...

My offer still stands if yoU need a website to host the files on. I have a site with GoDaddy.com that I use foR testing thAt I can let you use, with Full access for yoUr purposes. It Is an unlimited Domain, meaning unlImited bandwidth, stOrage, and I also believe MySQL daTabases as well.

URAF U IDIOT is what it comes out to be(counting for proper names and sentence capitalization). BUT it looks like progress has been made, still waiting on updates to the thread.... cross your fingers Eris users
