It's much more fun to prove someone wrong after you find out they were indeed lying, not during! Maybe i'm just an understanding person, but I'm sticking behind Yoda until the phone comes out.
I mean, just to have someone say all of this, even if it is all lies... is exciting.

Motorola has announced that they will add a feature to the Bionic in November that will allow it to transform into a jet pack. But you'll have to send it in for a week, so they can install it. It's up to you if you want to go through the hassle. I'm thinking about it.

Bottom line is, the things that Yoda is saying actually sound somewhat official. So making a joke comparison about jet packs doesn't exactly come across as understanding. Sure any of us could do the same thing, but let's be honest.. This guy could be named "THEREALMOTO" and still give no sources with his facts and people would give him the same responses.

All i'm saying is it's nice to actually have the feeling that someone from "the other side" or whatever you want to fill those quotations with, is delivering some solid info about the phone that COULD actually be true.

You are hoping that this guy is real, but you missed his troll thread where he posted a random video and said it was of the Bionic. Do you really think a representative that works at Motorola is going to do that?

Lighten up. Have a sense of humor.

The bionic will be the best android phone that motorola has made to date. Will motorola release better ones, absolutely. But the bionic is much ahead of any of the other motorola phones that have been released to date. (see reviews for Photon 4G to get a taste of how the bionic will look).

There are also some proprietary motorola apps that will be included on the phone. If you want to guess what they are, just look at Motorola acquisitions over the past 2 years. They work quite nicely too.

People need to learn the internetz and take things with a grain of salt.

It is highly possible that Yoda is connected at a high level. It is also possible that he is a troll. I use common sense and deduce what I believe, rather than spouting off. If you believe he is a troll, then don't read his posts, or snicker to yourself when you do. If you believe he is an insider, use the grain of salt method.

Either way, no point in flaming him yet. If he turns out to be trolling and a liar, then by all means flame away (though that might get you into trouble here as it's against the TOS as far as I know.)

I came from an Droid 1 to an X2 and as of now am planning on purchasing the Bionic. I got to play with it some at CES (though much as changed) and have been waiting ever since.

The only official information we have is that the original Bionic was to be released "early Q2" which we knew everything about and Sanjay now saying the revised Bionic is due in September. All I can say is this phone better blow everyone's socks off or Motorola is going to look like the biggest donkey in the tech world. IMHO, their entire future will ride on whether this phone rocks or sucks.

Hint for Yoda *if* he his connected to Moto: you better change the camera software from what is shipped with the D3 because the photos I've been seeing off of that thing downright blow! Go hire someone from Kodak if it is that friggin hard to make a phone that takes good pics. Samsung can do it. Apple can do it. My D1 failed miserably at it. And the D3 looks to have the blues.

No, the CEO of Motorola announced it will be released in September and also gave much more solid specs for it. It is in pretty much every thread and also on its own dedicated thread on this forum...

You should post this in the Motorola users forums.

Are you taking indoor / outdoor photos? Do you have a reference phone that you're comparing photos against (in same settings)?

In general, CCD sensors on phones are nowhere near the size of CCD sensors on real digital cameras. This makes low light photos very difficult. Also, what are your top features that you really look for in a phone? What else is going right / wrong with your droid 3?

I'm not going to lie and say that the iPhone doesn't take great pictures either. It too is a slim phone unlike a full dedicated camera.

One of the specs you see touted from every manufacturer (Moto included) is the camera specs. With the D1 I owned, the pictures were passable outside but nearly all indoor pictures turned out dull, grainy even with flash. It was rather disappointing after seeing pictures taken on other phones.

Granted, pictures are not everything when it comes to smart phones. But if I could point out one area for Moto to improve on, the camera (more likely its software) would be at the top of my list. Right above getting rid of those lips on the phone. I really *did* like the design of the original Bionic...

I would suggest posting this on the motorola owners forums. It's a good comparison.

I don't work for motorola (sorry, it was assumed because I knew stuff about them) so I can't influence the phone design. But the forums are actively monitored. Just make sure to email the moderator.

Statistically speaking you are some teenager who is punking the forms because they want attention.

It is highly unlikely you are one of the top engineers/CEOs/people with the inside knowledge.

The theory that people have inside connections is fine and dandy but this isn't like Best Buy, someone with a salary of 500K+ a year isn't going to jeopardize it to impress his friends, and trust me, these companies track them and get rid of leaks every single year.

I am putting my money down that Yoda is simply some guy who has been following the trends and betting on the most likely outcome, he has told us nothing that we do not already know/heavily suspect.

Yeah, actually I've mostly come around on Yoda. The occasional smugness doesn't come across well in a forum, but s/he's written a number of posts by now that are well informed and insightful.
