Silence phone when locked?

Hi --

Is there any way to silence the phone while it is locked? (Similar to the iPhone hardware button that lets you do this.)

If not, do any current Sprint phones let you do this? (Shift, 3D etc.)

turn the screen face down on any surface and it silences the ringer immediately...or hold the volume buttons down while it is ringing

Do you mean silence it while its ringing? Hit either of the volume buttons or the lock button. It will silence.
