im thinking of starting of reverting my phone to stock, rooting and putting back the ROM I'm currently on (Bionix V 1.3.1). I understand that to revert to stock, you must odin your phone - is this correct? I ask this because after I rooted my phone when it was running stock 2.2, I made a backup via Rom Manager. Should I simply revert back to this?

Also, what is the best way to backup all my apps + data before I do an odin or restore to Stock 2.2?

You can either back up everything on your pc, do a nandroid backup via CWM, or titanium backup.

well you dont really have to backup your data since it wont get erased. everything whats on your internal or external sd wont get deleted. just backup your apps using for example this app: https://market.android.com/details?id=tw.nicky.AppBackupReinstall after backuping i just recommend rebooting your phone

Is this before I odin my phone? or before I do a nandroid restore of my stock 2.2?

well you do it before both. the easiest way (for me) is to get back to stock by using odin. never done a nandroid restore before tho

So does odin wipe out your information (external and internal SD cards)? If so, what do you use to backup your data and restore? That's the one thing I'm not sure of.

it only wipes your apps. everything whats on your internal and external sd card stays where it is. so for example if you have some gameloft game and you had to download some additional data, after using odin the only thing you have to do is reinstall the app
