Yep. Found the update file last night through some unusual methods

MPC_SAM_R910_EA29.EA29.EA17_EE07.EE07.ED15.dp

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

TRS-80 helped me not give up :)

The breakthrough came after finding the internal MetroPCS server containing the updates using the hidden menus on the phone. Playing around on this server gave me a rough idea of how they were applied. Then I did a logcat while pushing a simulated message to this server which led me to the database location on the phone. Taking apart these files I found a special URL which downloaded a file called "desc" that was only 1kb. Looking at this through a hex editor i realized it was the update xml as specified in the OMA specification as seen under "sample xml file" here OMA Download . So right there was <description>Firmware Update</description> and another internal URL with the sexy name R910_EA29.EA17_to_EE07.ED15 . I tethered my laptop and got the DNS working right and was finally able to get the file on my computer. Again using a hex editor and comparing this to other updates of this type I verified the above file is most likely the redbend patch that updated our OS and modems.
Btw check out the file /data/data/com.samsung.syncservice/fumo/fumo_data.dat

I will probably use a modified redbend installer to apply this update. Here is the one Ill use unless anyone has suggestions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811336

Seems as if others were equally as bewildered - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8273218&postcount=424

I WANT TO BE ABLE TO TURN OFF GPS ON MY PICTURES RIGHT ****ING NOW!

i had been keeping up with everyone talking about that update on this site but i didn't get an OTA prompt like one person mentioned in a thread. i just happened to be playing around with the settings and looked at the baseband version and noticed it was updated. possibly overnight when i was sleeping.

but what does this update do to your device again? helps fix LTE issues with battery life and system freezes?

Thanks Shatter! So your Build Number changed from EA29 when you installed the Basix rom? Because I had already installed that ROM as well and didn't see the change? Let me know if that's what you meant? Thanks either way!

Yeah thats what I meant. When you have the Basix Rom installed your build number should say Basix R910 1.0 (Aito's Revenge ) which k0nane has said here in AF a few times that his Rom is based off the full update, so if you got the failed update and installed his Rom you'll be good ;)

anyone know how I can revert to the old baseband radio/modem firmware? I have to do it because after this update, I get no 1x or internet at all when I leave the 4G area. Atleast before the update, if I leave the 4G area I still had internet access on 1x. This is bullsh1it man, I am out of state alot and now I have no internet on my phone. so ghey
