Since the dawn of humanity, people tend to concentrate on the negative... One dead fly spoils the whole bottle of champagne. Every time I got my hands on a new smartphone, I used to find enough downsides and issues and things that left me unsatisfied, or plain mad.
Until I got my hands on the Galaxy SII.
I know that there are many threads talking about issues and stuff like battery drain and SoD (I tasted some of that myself), but OVERALL, I have never been that much satisfied with a gadget, I have it for over a month now and I am still beaming with joy! I simply can't find anything bad about it.
Battery- For the first time in my life, a smartphone that doesn't die on me on my way home. It easily lasts over 12 hours with moderate use, and I never expected something like that from such overpowered phone with such huge screen!
Dimensions- Every time one of my iPhone 4-wielding-iSheep-buddies picks up this phone, I can see them shocked even before they get to unlock the screen. I am still amazed when I hold it with no case on. It is ridiculously thin and light.
Screen- Some claim the resolution is too low. iPhone fans brag about their retina display invisible pixels, and well, yes, the screen could use a higher resolution. but I'm not holding it against my nose, I hold it 10~20 cm from my face, and I don't see no pixels, all I see is a clear, bright, contrastive, HUGE screen.
Power- Since I started using a system monitoring app coupla weeks ago, the CPU usage haven't crossed the 30% line once, not a single time.
I don't know what the future holds for the smartphone platform- But I'm damn sure that we are perfectly equipped for it!
Honestly, the only thing that bugs me is the lack of a physical camera key
May this post be a beacon of positivity to remind other users who might experience some temporary issues, or who simply "got used to it"
Gentlemen, we have the best smartphone to date
