Just started up my new Acer. Read numerous threads and spent a long time regarding following question. I can't locate the external sd card (32G) directory. I have downloaded ES File Explorer, File manager HD and using these can't see where the sd card is located.

Also, I downloaded Moboplayer. Can I copy .avi movies to the external sd card while attached to my computer, then install same card into Acer and watch movies from card or must I move to internal storage?

I also think I'm understanding that if I want to read from an external hard drive I must first insure its formatted "FAT" rather than "NTFS." Correct?
Thanks, Steve

When you open es file what folders come up? Is there a little SD card picture in the upper left (blue icon)? If you tap that SD card button it should bring up a new menu of folders one of which should be mnt tap that one then you should see all the storage folder (SD card, external, USB etc)

When you plug your Acer into a computer I don't think it can see your external sd card just the internal one. So you can remove the SD card and place that directly in your computer (if you have a built in card reader otherwise you will need to get one). Then just put the movies on that. Other option is to put then on the internal SD card then copy them to the external card. After its done copying you can delete the one on the internal memory.

And yes it can read FAT not NTFS. In order to read ntfs you would need to root your tab then get an app called drive mount.

I understand that some 32gb cards don't work well. I heard Sandisk had alot of problems as well. Also, check your MicroSD card and see if it's working in something else. There are alot of fake/counterfeit MicroSD cards floating around that look real, so if you got it on ebay for cheap, it's probably fake.

Thank you all very much. After many hours, I find the only file manager that finds my external sd card is Astro. I loaded HD and ES and neither showed my card (at least I couldn't find where it). Because of another thread, I tried Astro and it showed immediately. Now I have inserted the exteranl card on my computer, loaded movies, reinserted in Acer and watched my movies! My first tablet and it really takes getting used to. Didn't realize most applications we take for granted with windows are not on the tablet and must be loaded. Otherwise, I'm liking the Acer. Getting ready to vacation in Ireland and wanted to take movies and music with me. Again, thanks to all of you. I really appreciate your help.
