For 50 bucks you can get a car charger, spare battery, external charger and USB cord. I doubt these batteries are true 1750's knowing the rep of aftermarket batteries. You might get another hour or two out of them but do you think it's worth it?

I agree with bjanow. Most of these batteries get mixed reviews. They work fine for some people and no better than the original battery for others. Some people only need an extra 2-3 hours of use, but for me, that wouldn't make much difference. Seidio has great cases. That's all I've used on my phones for the last 2 1/2 years, but they get mixed reviews on their batteries and you pay a lot for their name. If you just wanted to try it and see how it worked, here are some links to Amazon. All come with two 1700mAh batteries and a travel charger for around $20.00 and probably will work about as well as the single Seidio battery and will cost you a lot less to experiment with.

+1 on the extra battery and external charger. Peace of mind in your pocket. Even back in the 4 days on a charge flip phone era (yeah, I am that old) I kept an extra battery when I traveled for work.

I would just get the bigger extended battery. The physical size difference doesn't bother me and my phone can easily last 40-48 hours depending on usage.
I've tried the Seidio batteries before on the Incredible and the difference was very minor and not worth it.

Spare battery not worth the trouble. If you have a case like mine (Innocase II Surface) the case is not fun to take off and then you have to deal with the battery cover which is even worse (you need a coin or some kind of tool). Doing this once a day in my opinion is out of the question. A car charger is the best option. Just give it some juice mid day and it usually lasts to the end of the day. I'm considering the extended battery, but then I have to buy a new case and then its not nice and slim that I can stick in my front pocket. So I am not crazy about the extended battery option.

I may try the 1750 after GB comes out. Maybe the little extra time from the battery and better power management of GB will make this phone tolerable.

Wow, what's next? "Personal Gas-Powered Generator w/luggage cart for Thunderbolt". They really need to work on improving battery technology. Does anyone offer a solar-powered battery charging option for the Thunderbolt that isn't a separate unit? I've seen ads in the paper for a phone (can't remember which) with a solar-powered back plate, which would be a neat option for this phone, if it were able to provide enough power. Perhaps even a back plate/case design that protects as well would be awesome. And yes, I still get a newspaper.

The Verizon 2750 mAh gives me enough juice to get through the day with no problems and still have 50% to 60% left. I have a 5000 mAh external for our occasional week long winter power outages and I'm thinking about getting a couple of more to keep the rest of the family going.

I've read several less than favorable reviews about the Mugen batteries and to me it sounds like an attempt to sell the more power types something they don't really need.

When I had an iPhone, they did have cases with battery packs and solar panels on the back built in, but they never got very good reviews. The idea appealed to a lot of people, but the technology wasn't up to the task. The solar panels weren't able to keep the battery fully charged, or even able to keep up with any discharge. Most phones just aren't exposed to that much sunlight long enough, or interior light that's strong enough to charge the battery. Maybe in the future the technology will improve. I don't like to leave my phone exposed to the sun very long anyway because it gets so hot that I'm afraid of the adverse affect it has on the battery and the phone. I don't even use my car's dash mount when using the GPS any more because the sun coming through the windshield can make the phone almost too hot to handle. A lot of phones will just shut down when they get too hot.

I haven't looked to see if the TBolt has anything like that available, but if there is, I would think that it would definitely have trouble keeping the battery charged considering everything the phone does and what I consider unrealistic expectations for the battery. The TBolt needed a bigger battery from the start.

I remember someone did a Seidio battery test vs. stock on the incredible forums. Pretty sure he found they underperformed. However he didn't have enough packs to be scientifically accurate, so who knows.
