Hi,
since I got the wildfire S, I am a bit disapointed about the battery live.
coz after one day just messing around with it, the battery is almost empty.
I couldn't belive it, and found out that the dialer had 97% battery usage, after one call for about 3 minutes.

it seems something is wrong, and even when i do nothing the battery keep alive just for one day.

Is there someone with the same problem?

thanks

I had the same thing when I first got my Wildfire. It will take a few charges to get the battery up to full capacity and I find that the dialer no longer takes such a large percentage of the reported battery usage. Maybe it takes a few charges / days use before the battery is calibrated enough for the battery monitor to be more accurate.

I find I get about two days of normal use (which includes either having WIFI or Mobile Network always on) out of mine which is fine for me - or a good day if I make heavy use of it.

Ben.

I am not happy of my battery life either. It last only one day with moderate usage.
I charged it 6-7 times only but I don't think it will improve that much. GPS wi-fi and bluetooth always OFF. Screen brightness at 50% and offline during the night! Yesterday after full charge I downloaded a couple of things from market with 3G, played a bit with the wallpapers and checked facebook. After 30 minutes 2 of the 10 battery levels were gone!
At the begining I charged it with the USB cable from the computer, and I discharged it completely (the phone switched-off). Do you think I damaged it?

i got my wildfire s about 2 days ago now and i was initially pretty unhappy with batery performance since then i have put it on a lower screen brightness setting installed an app killer widget and turned off as much data survice i could while still having the functionality i wanted..
since then the battery useage has gotten better and with luck it will continue to get better

looking at the battery monitor im also seeing a 97% useage on the Dialler which is amusing me alot. ill watch it for a few days and if it dosnt change ill fire an email at HTC

Regards
Josh

I just got an HTC Evo 4G and was having similar issues...battery dying after 5 or 6 hours indicating Dialer was the culprit. I just changed the settings for the following to off: Quiet Ring on Pickup, Pocket Mode, Flip for Speaker. With today being my first day with these setting shut off I have more than 80% of my battery after 6 hours.

It makes sense (or HTC Sense LOL) every time you pickup the device, put down the device, move the device, the phone app...i.e. Dialer... needs to check in with the accelerometer to see if the phone is right side up or upside down and then the phone needs to check with what ever indicates it's in a pocket or purse to see if its dark.

Give it a try.

Im using htc wildfire S, and i used to have much problems with battery life. Also battery useage showed me dialer 97% and so on. After i deleted advanced killer and some useless programs and let the battery went completely 0 on battery that it shut down by hes own. I charged it as turned off and now my battery usage shows me everything exactly what im using, and my battery is 90% and it has been 16 hours on!! Im so excited to see how long can it stay up. By the way im connected through wireless all the time, updates on my home screens are also updating about every precise hour and its amazing.

Do you have the "pocket mode", "quiet ring" and other options enabled or disabled?

I can't post links sucks but look up insink71 for a custom rom, m1ndh4x8r for over clock kernel so you can lower cpu when in sleep to save batter, and simonsimons34 for WIP CM7.

Messege me if you need help to save battery :)

I uninstalled all of HTC sense which saves alot of battery. I installed ADW.launcher in it's place.
