Can i flash this firmware without bricking?

Hi,

Apologies for a new thread, i have tried looking (here and on XDA) but....

I want to flash a new ROM to my device using CWM. It looks simple but im not sure which to use.

Someone on here kindly did a guide for me to root using ODIN which all went ok. Im worried as they made it clear at the time to pick the Kernal that matched my firmware (KE2).

I if now flash KE7 firmware will this be ok with my KE2 kernal?
Is KE7 still the latest for the UK?
Is it ok to flash via CWM?
Will i lose root?

PS: Firmware im looking at flashing is
GT-I9100_CPW_I9100XWKE7_I9100XXKE4_I9100CPWKD1.exe

The firmware you are flashing will also update your kernal and you will loose root.
You cant flash that firmware in CWM it has to be odin.
I believe KG5 is the latest, KE7 is quite old.

I doubt it since these files are made to use with odin but i'm not sure I dont use rom manager.
