I'm facing a few problems when using Facebook app on my DHD. First, I don't get any notifications when someone sends me a message or comments etc when I know my 'notification settings' is checked. Second is abit general: how do I share a video/post through this app? I mean when I'm using the app and I like a video or a post and want to share it but I do not see any options for doing it. Is it by default or I need some tweaking to do?

It's a shame, but the Facebook app is utterly dreadful. Inconsistent, often not working at all. I persisted for so long, hoping that with each update it'd become properly functional, let alone include basic stuff like poking, viewing comments on events (which you still can't...which I find utterly incredible).

I've taken to just using Facebook via the browser. The touch mobile version is great, and far better than the app unfortunately.

In terms of notifications, you have to go into the setting by pressing menu and going in there when on the main page of the app. Again, it's inconsistent and works when it wants.
In terms of posting a video, you can do it by clicking the share button in the gallery, and selecting "Facebook". You'll notice there are 2 Facebook options. One for vids, the other for pictures. Which is which? You have to guess. One option will show vids, the other pictures, so you just have to try one of them and see.
As far as I'm aware though, when you do it it doesn't show a thumbnail, and you can't include a comment/description.

What I actually meant was when I view a video WITHIN the facebook android app and want to share it, it is then that I do not find a way to share it. Perhaps will resort to the browser facebook for now :/

the facebook app is terrible.

i use m.facebook.com instead. no notifications being pushed to the phone unfortunately but still, at least it tells me if someone's commented on something or whatever where as the the actual app is hit and miss to whether it tells you or not even when you hit refresh!

and uploading pics or vids is crap too on the app. luckily facebook for sense is pretty decent at uploading media.
