Yes this 2.6 version is a vast improvement.Battery life is killer on this ROM now.10 hours at 50% and that was at work where i only get 1 bar and very bad 3g coverage and had GPS on all the time. This rom with the addidtion of v8 Supercharger and Supercharger kernal tweaks and this thing is blazing fast with no lag what so ever at all.I used the multitasking option which i think is #7.All i can say is WOW.

Ok is it one question, is it faster than ssx 2.0

I wish someone would pull all of this stupid LED notification crap out of CM7.

It's kind of a half-assed implementation since it doesn't cover all scenarios and isn't very flexible, not to mention its control of the LED doesn't seem to be the best (the LED blink rate is funky).

LightFlow is far better, but because of this OS-level notification implementation which can't be turned off, LightFlow is broken.

It seems like such an odd little piece of functionality. So much of the other CM7 functionality is fully fleshed out, nicely implemented, and this little piece seems to be stapled onto the side of it.

This ROM is nice, except for that. Oh, and probably the ugliest boot screen ever.

Is it really a big problem? Ever since my last SBF, I've had sporadic LEDs on .596 (Handcent won't work, Go SMS won't work, but BattMonX works perfectly fine ), and I wondered if flashing a 2nd init rom might fix it.

Well, the built-in LED flasher works fine for the basic purpose of flashing the LED when you have a notification.

My problem is that LightFlow lets me managed notifications for my whole system, with interspersed LED colors for multiple notifications and vibration types/lengths/repetition, set up blinks for apps that don't normally do it... it's all very thorough and nice.

But since CM7 and CM7-based ROMs have this LED notification thing built in, it kills my ability to use the app.

The LED notification system built into CM7 is okay. It works, for sure. But if you start using the advanced features, like flashing multiple colors for multiple notifications (e.g. if I have an email and SMS, it can flash two alternating colors), the DX doesn't seem to love it. Again, they work, but the blink rate is all weird and there are warnings about battery life - and I don't experience the battery life drop with LightFlow that CM7 warns you about.

It also doesn't have settings for everything I want, and no vibration control - so, I'm trading great functionality (LightFlow) for mediocre functionality, with no way to turn it off.

Nothing to do with 2nd-init ROMs, by the way. OMGB and OMFGB both work great with LightFlow - I'm using OMFGB now.

I actually came from Apex 2.0, which was AWESOME. From there I went to CM4DX, to Justice, and my battery life was HORRIBLE on both... I popped liquid on yesterday around noon, and after HEAVY use my battery was still at 50% by 11:00pm. I pulled her off the charger this morning at 7:30, moderate use, and I'm still at 84%. This was my only problem with the AOSP ROMS. Battery life. I seem to have found one I can deal with! Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

I flashed the file and signed in and set the phone down for 5 minutes. When I returned all my apps were installed. Did you uncheck the box to allow it to restore your apps? I dont even bother with backups anymore since it takes care of my apps automatically. I do loose the text messages but all of my text stuff is idle chat garbage anyway.

I wiped data, cache and davlik cache again and started from scratch. All apps updated after I left the phone alone. I guess tinkering when it's booting up isn't the smartest idea!!!! Thanks for the tip
