Help NEW: Dust or No Dust Under Screen: ONLY FOR 1+ MONTH OWNERSHIP!!!!!

I have come to the conclusion that everybody that has said 'no dust' on the other no dust thread is 1 of 3 things:

1.) A Liar
2.) Ignorant
3.) Voted within the first week of ownership.

Now, I think its number three for everybody, right?

This is a new poll, please look at your phone with the display off under a bright light...do you see dust?


I am on my 6th Hero (the 7th is in the mail, seriously). The hardware is absolute trash. They either have dead pixels, or 'green' pixels. The camera captures dead pixels...but all of them had one thing in common. DUST UNDER THE SCREEN.

Nothing buddy i am sorry for your problems but i had it since day one and i looked crap i even gave it an evil eye and nothing. No dead pixles no nothing. The hardware is way better then my palm pre i had and mmmm sorry. I think its just bad luck. Happens trust me.

I purchased my Hero during the early release and it is "with" google and I have no dust. My sister bought her hero shortly after and she doesn't have any dust either. My wife purchased her hero in November and it is not "with" google and she doesn't have a dust issue either.

Had mine since October 19th, carry it in my pocket consistently. The ONLY problem I have is the paint chipping off the red/green buttons. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd scrape the rest off anyway because I think it'd look sweet.

No dust, no dead pixels, camera works great (better than my actual digital camera, minus the flash). Only a couple virtually invisible scratches on the screen. I've got to angle the phone just right to see them, and they're impossible to see if the screen is on. Oh, and there's a small scratch/dent in the metal piece in the back, where the camera is...I believe bumping against a wall with coins in the same pocket caused that.

You sound like you've got my usual luck, where nothing goes right, ever lol

2 Heros, one mine, other wife's, still no dirt under the screen. How do you get dirt under the screen. Please post pictures of this mystery dirt. Are your pockets that dirty?

LOL! How does being ignorant make dirt under your screen not visible? Seriously, do you work for Apple, Verizon or ATT?

What I think is that every troll from the iPhone board comes here and makes up stories about this mystery dirt.

My problem is i have mustard underneath the screen. Don't call me a liar i have pictures of it and one time there was a banana underneath it until i took it to sprint repair.

i have had my hero since november and i have no dust. i keep it in a silicone case and in my pocket. no paint chipping either.

I have had two hero's and one was for 30 days and another for a couple months now and had no dust in either. I have to say that the first one probably would have gotten it over time because it had that big gap that the first batch had.

DANG you really need to take that to a Sprint store. HTC has NO excuse for letting building a device that allows insects under the screen... no excuse.
