Help Screen stops responding after touchwiz update

I got the touchwiz update on August 5, and have absolutely loved it so far. That being said, tonight I sat down to do some school work on my tablet, and the touchscreen stops responding after anywhere from 5-30 seconds of use, every time. If I lock my device, and then unlock it, it works again, but only for a few more seconds. Video and audio still work fine after the freeze(watched a 10 minute youtube video without any issue), but the tab is turned into a video playing paperweight until I lock/unlock it again. Needless to say, this has become extremely frustrating. Does this sound like a hardware issue, or is there anything I can do, short of shipping it in for service? Thanks in advance.

yeah, i saw your post. I, unlike you, have my school notes backed up on a cloud, my computer, and an external hard drive, so I still have access to all of my information. Thats for my school notes, which I can do without for a couple days, whereas your info was apparently essential to your job....and not a single backup? If your car blows a fuse, do you vow TO DESTROY the manufacturer of that vehicle? You've got more problems than I do, so do yourself a favor, get off android forums, and get a shrink.
this might be true......when i use anything as small and fragile, like a tablet or even a PC,i upload to google docs or something similar
the whole point is the cloud imo :p

anyways don't take my word for it,but i think you can try to flash a custom rom to see if it helps........i'd wait to see if anyone else has some input though

I ordered the 16gb and should get delivery tomorrow.

Should I update?

Thx

As far as I can tell, this was an isolated hardware issue...I've been looking everywhere to see if anyone else has had this issue, and so far I haven't found a single other person with this problem. The updates are amazing, and every "issue" I solved myself by downloading apps to meet my needs, are now included natively in the OS...update.

I don't have static lines. I dont have a boot loop. those things would have been indicative of a problem similar to others out there, but thats not the problem I have.
