Hello,

A few weeks back I rooted my phone and backed up all the original crap applications and removed them to save space. In the past few days, the phone seems to have slowed down a lot. Any ideas on what might be making this happen?

I did a battery pull and let it sit for a while, more than once. I have Android Assistant and did the Sytem Boost and it seemed to have helped a lot. I erased my Yahoo! Mail application as that seemed to be taking up a lot of memory.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

My Commando is not rooted. I noticed that it slowed to a crawl and it bugged me enough to do a factory reset. Before I reset it I backed up my application list with FR Mate (backs up the list only, not the apps themselves.) Then one by one I put back the apps, K-9 mail, better keyboard, etc. The phone was speedy until I put back Barcode Scanner. Then the same thing. Slowed to a crawl. I uninstalled it and the slow went away. Now I have RedLaser for my scanner app. Hope this helps.

App: 1 Tap Cache cleaner(non-rooted)
App: Cache Mate (rooted)

There are other ways and other apps to accomplish this.

I did get Cache Mate. Still goes slow.

I tried this myself, and I still do not notice a difference.

I guess that the phone just is not that fast. It seems to speed up a little after I erase all the text messages on it. If I do a reboot, it seems to help for a little while as well.

Still happy with the phone for the most part. Every phone I have had has some issues that bother me a lot with them.
