Hello Expert,

I am using superpad3 since now one month, Recently I upgraded the firmware tim5, everything looks good, but I have an issue with GPS and HDMI

1 GPS - GPS signal looks very good, in fact it shows everything correct, but only when I am using internet connection.

Without internet all the GPS test are very good, in fact it does show me my current location but when click on direction (after typing address it just say "Getting Driving Direction" all GPS test shows good signal - Please help.

2) HDMI - Video is fine on my TV but no sound.

Please help, do i need to make any setting changes?

Thanks in advance.:)

The GPs software that comes ont the pad uses the internet to update so unless you are stationary near a wireless connection or have a 3g dongle installed you will not have updates. Try searching Copilot or gps app on Market just make sure the app gets all its information from the satellite.

Some players will have issues with how certain videos are encoded. I have quite a few video that won't play sound in CCplayer but work fine in the Gallery or default player. The same goes for over HDMI, just try another player.

Rabid1, Thanks a lot for your help, I am using GPS Navigation (Blue arrow), the application was installed on superpad, My Super-pad 3 has external antenna , which detect satellite signal without any issue. even currently Google map (5.8?) is also updated, everything work great , but once I am out of internet range...nothing work...it should work without internet as Superpad3 has GPS system inbuilt right? infact the Navigation system was working fine till I firmware update....without internet I travel almost 200Mile using the GPS direction ! I think something is wrong with setting...or with New Google MAP...! its keep on searching for data connection !

The GPS works, the software doesn't. Google maps and navigator need an internet connection for live updates, they do not download and store maps to your tablet like Copilot or others do, beyond a small amount of information cached. You would have to have a 3g card installed or an access point with one hell of a range. With Google maps I can zoom out and load a map that shows about a 30 mile radius. If I drive away from an internet connection I will still have that map. But if I try to zoom in or out, or refresh that map will be lost.
