I can't seem to find the livewallpaper chooser in the newest version of this ROM. when i try install the apk i find on google it fails. Any suggestions?

Sorry, my fault, I meant to delete LiveWallPapers.apk and instead I deleted LiveWallPaperPicker.apk. That's what happens at 3am after a night of compiling and flashing. Next build it will be back. ;)

Here's a flashable zip file that should fix it for you till then:
LiveWallpaperPicker-signed.zip

First, I'd like to say thanks to you guys for doing this! I rooted and flashed the 8102011 build of BACKside n green machine last night with gingerbreak.
Second, I have a probably dumb question lol. I wanna underclock so I can save battery a little bit and was wondering if its built into this Tom or if I have to download another app? Also, can you guys give me some tips to safely underclock/overclock? Sorry if this should be a separate thread btw

Edit: just saw the CPU settings menu, but I'm not touching the min and Max CPU till I get some input

Leave the min where it's at. You should be able to overclock to 768 MHz with no issues.

im currently on xionia recovery should i jump to blarfs newst recovery or clock work:thinking:
It depends on the ROM. A good rule of thumb: Xionia recovery=Froyo Roms
ClockWorkMod v3.2.0.1(not 3.2.0)=Gingerbread ROM's
iho-vm670-recovery-4.0.1.4.2=Experimental(might work for you, might not). Xionia recovery has an option in the advanced section to fix boot loop(this is why, even if you don't need it For a particular ROM,you should keep it on the sd card.

You can use xionia recovery with the new IHO ROM's but you will have to wipe everything 3 times instead of once.

Cool, thanks guys. So even if I'm overclocked, it won't affect the battery that much unless I make it? Like by playing games, etc.
I wouldn't go much higher than 787MHz-480MHZ. I did some benchmark testing and 768MHz, 787MHz is where you will get your best battery off charge times, and the battery seems to stay cooler.
You can try Interactive,or ondemand, etc to fine tune your performance or battery requirements.
It might just be my Imagination but , every since I started using V6 Supercharged, Everything seem to run just a little smoother.

Hey JerryScript, it seems that every time I turn power off on build# 08102011, when
I boot back up I would be missing an app or two,or three(anytime I need to turn off the phone I make sure the CPU is set to 600MHz first). I was experimenting with a Froyo and picastiks combo(couldn't use a terminal emulator with it so I figured I better scrap that Idea). When I restored Build 08102011(I definitely wiped and formatted everything necessary). I could not get the WiFi to work, didn't check 3G. I made a backup of that very ROM(I already deleted the first backup). And when I restored that one, WiFi was working and all the apps were where they were suposed to be? Just rebooted and everything looks great and I've got a great WiFi signal(netgear 300N). I don't know if this info will help in anyway, but it might.

"iho-vm670-recovery-4.0.1.4.2=Experimental"

I am guessing that this is Blarfs newest??? Wouldn't it just be best to go with CWM????? It seems like that will cover the newer stuff.. I really do like Xionia... But I guess we must move on to the latest and greatest.
It's experimental and works for some "V's" and doesn't with others(It didn't with mine).

So I got an email from "the android team at google" or something like that today giving me a bunch of info on stuff about to register my nexus a and stuff like that. At the bottom it says "we sent you this one time welcome message because you recently purchased a nexus s"

I definitely did not buy one lol.

Does this have something to do with flashing this rom?

As mkbkr1 stated, green means you are connected to Google's servers, white means you are connected to the internte but not Google's servers. Neither color indicates anything about quality of connection, that is based on the number of bars being shown colored.

@the weddle: Did you make change to your build.prop file to enable a netflix apk at anytime? That's the only reason I can think of off the top of my head for your experience. Unless of course your google account was once used on a Nexus S. ;)

One of the quirks of the OV, is at 480 Mhz and below, it's using a slightly lower voltage, and a higher one at above that frequency. So you can use that knowledge to set your min/max. One option is to do 245-480 so it's always at the lower voltage. Or 480-787, so it idles at the lower voltage, but under load it goes at maximum. What's NOT recommended is setting the min above 480 (like a 600-787 or 787-787), where it idles at a higher voltage. Some people have reported warm batteries with those settings, even when idle.

Any idea on the backup issue?

The IHO recovery is still experimental, please report bugs in it at the IHO repository so Blarf can work on them. For now, you can use aospCWMod recovery to back things up. Flashing a recovery only takes 30 seconds, so it shouldn't be too much trouble. ;)

BTW- Whyzor is part of the dev team, so thanks go to him too!

I know there a many of you who want a more lightweight version. Building one is not too difficult, but in the interest of ensuring that I don't introduce anymore bugs doing so (like accidentally removing LiveWallPapersPicker.apk ;)), I don't plan on releasing BACKside stripped down for the time being.

For those who do want to strip their install down, here's info on how to do it easily, and which of the pre-installed apps are safe to remove:

No, Ive never even had netflix lol. the only messing with my phone i've done has been involved with rooting and flashing this rom
Either way it's not a big deal, just weird.
Also, my phone batt died while I was sleeping last night and when I tried to turn it back on it wouldn't go past the boot image. It stayed on the particle thingy for like ten or 15 minutes so i just went back to my backup and am gonna try reflashing backside
