Thanks:
Scary Alien for helping with some of my brainstorms
CPCookieMan for pointing me in the right direction with my initial thoughts for this project
MongooseHelix for the idea of the script vs a flashable zip

This is a very simple script that utilizes the radiooptions command to disable the radio but still allow use of WiFi. I wanted to make it to be run in init.d on startup but haven't successfully got it working that way yet so for now it can be run with script manager. This script can be run as follows:

1. Download the script and place it somewhere on your SD Card. (Maybe make a folder named Scripts to keep things organized)

2. Download Script Manager from the market.

3. Open Script Manager and navigate to where you saved the script then select the script.

4. Check the options for run as root and if you always use wifi only because you don't have service on your device check off Run at boot as well.

5. When prompted by superuser allow superuser permissions.

I have tested this script on my Incredible and my Eris as well and should be universal to run on any android device.

Okay, are people using this on phones still on the network? Or are they using this script for phones that are no longer turned on on the Verizon Network? Do my questions even make sense? ;p

Yes lol.. they make sense. It can be used for either but the original intention for this was for phones that are no longer activated on a network that are being used as a pda or mp3 player. Naturally airplane mode can be used as well but it seems that some people don't like to use airplane mode so I made this little guy up as an alternative :)

me too. this is right up my lil buddys alley

CS do you know droidth3ory?

I don't know him but I know of him.... I was thinking about trying to bring some of his stuff to the Inc but I'm trying to get another port up and running first. Having some trouble with it and starting to get really frustrated with it though  Already got the go ahead on this one from the original dev and he's added me to his sig but when I get it booted and sign in Sense starts FC'ing along with talk and weather. :(

he kinda reminds me of you... kind of a dark avatar, lol, and his roms run on my TB like your roms run on my eris and inc. hes got some tweeks that definately just make stuff work, like you do. currently running his CM7 based "A5OPTH3ORY" :)

edit: what other one are you porting? pm me if you dont want to post it

I'll take that as a great compliment :) his work from what I can tell seems top notch.

I don't mind posting it. The original dev already has me added to his Sig as coming soon LOL. I just have to get it working right now and v1 will be ready. It's suprarom from EVO3d. It's a sense/aosp mix. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1194137

Edit: not sure if the link will work or not. I'm posting from my phone atm. Lol

it was defiantely intended as a compliment  he puts an emphasis on fast and smooth first, then adds flash after that. defaintely some of the best for the TB,just like yours are for the eris and inc :D

that port looks pretty sweet. want me to help test :D

Once I get it to get past the force closes I'll let you know ;) gonna flash it again in a little bit and see if I can get anything useful from a logcat to try and fix it.
