I'm about to take posession of a HTC Hero on Orange in the Uk. Was supposed to have been delivered yesterday
but looks like it'll be on Monday now 
.
Anyway, I thought I'd go ahead and start the prep setup etc. Read through the hints and suggestions thread (very useful), got my google account setup and a microSD card on order from Amazon.
Really looking forward to getting to play with my new toy when it arrives. This is my first "smart" phone having had a old basic nokia for the last 8 years, and that's despite working in the telecoms industry on GSM for the previous 10+ years
