Help play movie from USB flash memory

hi i just got a new A500 i stored some movie in 1G flash drive(avi) can someone show me the step to watch this movie. i didn't DL any app yet.sorry new to tablet.pls show me step by step

Did you try opening the video player on the tab?

If that didn't work then you can try es file manager. This will allow you to go into the usb drive folder and you should be able to open the movie that way. I believe es file is set to open the internal sd card automatically so tap the blue sd card icon in the upper left then look for the mnt folder then the usb drive or storage folder.

You can try using Clear.fi. In my case, I seem to be able to stream music from my laptop using clear.fi, but not videos ...yet!

EDIT:

I also was able to use Clear.fi to stream movies from my PC to my tab. Worked liked a charm.

If you want to watch movies from your drive you will need the right player. The Tablet only supports MP4 and MP5 out of the box. Mobo player is a free app and make sure you get all the codeks. That will play just about anything you throw at it. When you long press on the movie file it will ask you how you want to play it and give you the choice of which player you want to use. If you have done all the update to the ROM you will find more video support and installed palyers. Good luck!
