Help Can't add apps to my Homescreens

Just switched back to the stock launcher because of lag/redrawing issues with 3 other launchers since updating to GB! For whatever reason, I'm not able to add apps to my homescreens. Long pressing the homescreen does not bring up the option to add apps, only shorcuts, widgets, folders and wallpapers, so I tried opening the app drawer and long pressing the app I want to add. A small pop-up window gives me the option to "Add to Home", so I select it and nothing happens. I've checked all three of my profiles and the app doesn't show up anywhere. What am I doing wrong? Is there a new way to add them?

After you long press on the home screen select "shortcuts" and then "applications".

Didn't have the "applications" option under "shortcuts" until I rebooted! Don't know why that happened. Thanks!

Hoping the 2.3.4/5 update, whenever we get it, will fix the lag/redraw issues with other launchers! The stock launcher is a step backwards!
