Help Music Not Appearing

I updated my Evo 4G earlier in the week to 2.3.3. Since the download, the songs that were in my default music player remain however the album art and artist's names have been removed. More importantly, I downloaded new music last night and the music shows up on my downloads app and Astro but will not show up in the Music app or Music Online Lite.

Previously, I was able to take the battery out and put it back in and the music would appear. This is not the case anymore. I don't have a computer, the Evo really is my computer but PLEASE someone help me get the music into my music app.

When I first ported my music from my Zune to my evo, it messed up the tags and a few didn't show up. You might have to retag the ones that aren't showing album art and all, and for the ones that don't appear at all, check their file extension. To my knowledge, the media player doesn't support files like m4a. To play it safe, convert your music to mp3, then add it. That cleared it right up for me.

Thanks for you suggestion. I checked they are all mp3. FRUSTRATING! But thanks again.
