Help pinch to zoom compatible

Let me get this straight... He is claiming that he has a syncing program that has pinch to zoom abilities... wtf is a map doing in a syncing program?

Nobody get worked up, he's full of crap. A compulsive liar that has made frivolous claims in the past in this forum. This is not his first time.

This thread needs to be closed.

oh and id love to see where iv lied :/

HA!

Good stuff here. There are no lies, and I would know! I do <frown> see a few folks using our goods without supporting us.

Our #1 product, PhoneMyPC, has had multi-touch since Android 1.0, on production (non-rooted) phones. Our approach is a psudo one that works well--at least you can pan AND zoom with your fingers on the touch screen using familiar gestures such as pinch/stretch and/or "pawing" (two fingers together, moved towards the screen center to zoom in, away to zoom out).

We started with HTC devices (G1, MyTouch, Hero), and recently made some adjustments to better support Samsung devices (which rarely worked before we updated our code). The Motorola Cliq is the only phone we know of that this doesn't work on. Well, and the Android 2.0+ devices because of course we use "true" multi-touch on those.

The website is SoftwareForMe.com. And the same multi-touch technology is in our new, Beta release of Imagine Multi-touch, a very immature gallery app that WILL be the coolest thing since sliced cheese in the near future.

One last comment: we occasionally update the network protocol used by our software, and when we do, any copies not collected through authorized sources will suddenly stop working. This is not by design; it's a consequence of not getting the usual "Update Available" notification. PhoneMyPC is the sort of thing that we will forever be improving and optimizing. So, if you have a copy from somewhere else, just know it's not the programs fault if it stops working :)

Cheers!

Also notice that the member 'softwareforme.com' was banned... for multi-accounting maybe?

i would imagine for advertising phonemypc, and seriously i wasnt trying to get flamed. I was simply pointing out that the moment may be multi-touch compatible android 2.0+ after seeing a couple threads here and there about the moment's amoled screen not being able to support it. If you are just here to call me a liar and say im full of crap, then please grow up and at least say something a little more useful :\

If that were the case, then the MomentFlash creator would have been banned. As well as every other app promoter, as well as Numus and Zefie. He was likely banned for something that violated the core rules surrounding registration.

Yeah, the Moment is rumored to support multitouch once we get 2.1. From what I have come to understand in the forums, 1.5 can't do it, and it is still unknown whether or not the hardware itself has multitouch capabilities.

My apologies to you though, I had you confused with someone last week that was trying to blow smoke. So my accusations that you "made frivolous claims in the past in this forum." was unfounded. Though I honestly still do not believe you. I can believe that an app that supports multitouch is available to adroid 1.5 users. But I don't buy that the Moment, packing cupcake, can fully utilize the software (as far as it applies to multitouch).

In the first post he claims to have had pinch to zoom on his Moment. Then he says that he was simply pointing out the the Moment "may be" compatible with pinch to zoom. Hhmmm?

I was saying the the moment has pinch-zoom capabilities while using the program, though it is buggy and not quite as complete as pinch-to-zoom. I was just pointing out that the moment could be capable of multitouch/pinch-to-zoom android 2.0+. Does everyone really have to be so critical what i have to say?

.... Does everyone really have to be so critical what i have to say?

It's not like we overheard u talking to somebody at a starbucks. You posted this in a forum, but you're not willing to back it up with any substance. Of course people are going to be critical. I haven't heard of an app on 1.5 where multitouch worked.

By the way, I just checked out that company (Sotwareforme.com)'s other apps:
They have a gallery viewer called Imagine Multi-touch

It's a gallery app for photos, and I just bought it (99c). The pinch to zoom also works here. The FC'd like 5 minutes into it, but it did work.

Some others should check it out... this is pretty exciting, considering I thought this wasn't possible on 1.5
