Root help on overclocking 2.2.1

im sorry for being so uneducated, but i searched around and im still confused and i dont wanna mess up the phone.

im on 2.2.1, its rooted and i want to overclock it

is there specifics for 2.2.1? cause ive only seen this: http://androidforums.com/optimus-m-all-things-root/267934-optimus-m-overclock-thread.html

and its says only for 2.2

so can it even be done on 2.2.1 ?

any help is appreciated

You need to flash the anyrom kernel http://androidforums.com/optimus-m-all-things-root/347684-kernel-optimusm-oc-stock-2-2-1-a.html

The download is in the link thread, also 2 things. One, to overclock I have found setcpu to be the best app, you can get it free if you sign up at xda. I would recommend supporting the devs and donate anyways though. And the second thing is joneidys sense rom comes with the kernel already. It's a very good rom i've had no issues at all so you could just flash that instead of the kernel. Either way, good luck and I hope I helped.

oh thanks thats what i was looking for but .

as for the recovery , i ran into the same problem, 2.2.1 , i couldnt find a recovery for it ..

again any help would be usefull

to install a recovery you should follow this by joneidy

then install the Sense Rom by him as well which already includes a OC capable kernel
