Root System cleaner?

is there a good system cleaner you can use with a flashed ROM? or shouldnt you use one?? Just wondering what exactly should you clean on a regular basis to keep your phone running smoothly without any lag or nothing...

Not sure what you really mean by system cleaner?

If you're talking about the files the are created on the sd card... then you could just delete them. They typically store configuration files that will be replaced on the next run of the app.

Or if you're talking about a task killer, then I'd avoid one. I have never used one, but if you want you can look into the V6 supercharger script.

You can use a cache cleaner that will help keep your phones memory up cause cache is a waste of space to me atleast.

And for a system cleaner like get rid of duplicate items and clean unused or unneeded items then i don't think there is one i think you will need to do it manually thru root explorer or some other file explorer but use caution you don't want to delete a system file.

My advice just don't install a bunch of stuff and then realize you don't want it because i have found out even after an uninstall programs like to leave stuff in your phone.

well I dont know if we are talking about the same thing here but I need some clarification as well, specially after reading some of the guides.
I have downloaded some files that supposedly help along with cleaning: data, cache and dalvik. But how do you use them?
This is what I have found in one of the guides:
"1.first you need the vr superwipe: ZZZVR_SUPERWIPE.zip. download it and put it on your card. (optional)"

I have found 2 other system cleaners. What exactly do they do and how do you "RUN" them.

Thanks guys!
This is by far the best forum, great people and def helpful!

The superwipe is NOT a system cleaner. It is for wiping your phone before flashing a new rom. If you use superwipe instead of the app I linked to, you will be very disappointed.

Well, I guess you could say superwipe is the ultimate "system" cleaner ;)

Seriously, don't mistake the two.

but thats exactly what im looking for... how do you do it?

How do you do superwipe?

1. Nandroid.
2. Flash superwipe.zip as if it was a rom
3. Flash rom.
4. Reboot.
5. Done.

everytime I try it, i get a message at the bottom that says abort.
whats the "best" way to do it?
wipe data
wipe cache
wipe dalvik
and the flash it with superwipe by selecting the option that says select zip from sd card?
or whats recommended? thank you

This is what I got:
Calkulin__s_FORMAT_ALL
KingsMOD-FORMAT_ALL
ZZZVR_SUPERWIPE

and I get the same abort message with all 3. any reason?

you probably have clockwork mod recovery. clockwork mod 3 and up uses a script called edify. unfortunately edify scripts are not used that often. most zip file are in a script called amend. there is two recoveries that support both scripting. they are clockwork mod 2.6 and amon ra 2.3. i like amon ra 2.3. go to the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/395962-guide-rooting-gingerbread-revolutionary.html and go to the switching recoveries section for instructions.
