Hi - Got a Samsung Galaxy S2 (to replace HTC Desire) and generally I love it. One question: How do you change the open-screen, the one you have to swipe away to open the screen (is it called the screen saver?). When I changed the wallpaper the picture that I've got as the screensaver (if that is what it's called) is listed as a Wallpaper in the menu options, so it must be changeable... but not sure how to change it? Any ideas?

I bet this is really easy if you know how...

Hi!! This is my first time posting a question.. never used a forum b4 .. (so plz xcuse the format) Just recently bought the samsung galaxy s2 last month(my first android phone ever!).
I know how to change the lock screen to a different picture, but since I changed the picture I can't change it back to the ones which came with the phone (y'know the 5 wallpapers in the wallpaper gallery )....

Please tell me how do I access the wallpaper gallery for the lock screen ?

(This is not a reply.... I didn't know where to post the question!!)

settings > display > screen display > select 'background' under the tab 'lock screen' and it should give you an option to access the 'wallpaper gallery' with the basic preset images.

the 'Lock Screen' tab under Screen Display only has Wallpaper and Clock position
I do not have any thing under 'Lock Screen' that says "background" .. there is background effects under display ..but that has options : dynamic , standars , movie..
Please Help !!

Hi

Have you managed to work out how to change the lock screen wallpaper yet? I changed it to a photo taken from my camera and now it will only let me select these pictures. It won't let me change it back to one of the preinstalled wallpapers.

If anyone can help me with this it would be very much appreciated.

Exactely same problem here.....

Set the lock screen to a photo taken from the camera, now I can't undo that but only change to another picture from the camera.

I want that black lock screen that came from the factory.

Thanks for all contributors.

I think most people have the problem to get rid of the wallpaper *at all*. They don't want a gallery picture or other pictures, they like me just want to get rid of the screen all together.

Why is there a reason I should wipe away something when I start the Galaxy? I want to get straight to the apps, where is the clock, the weather and everything you need.

We don't need any security step in between.

Any hint about getting rid of the screen?

Thanks,
Dani
