Help Phone doesn't recoginze full size of SD card

Did you buy it off eBay or something?

No, I purchased it from AT&T. I've actually seen two of these phones behaving in the same way. I am searching HTC forums to see if I can find more information.

I stopped by the AT&T store and they think that it has to do with how the information is reported by the phone rather than a problem with the phone or SD card. It would seem that if there were a problem with the microSD card itself the phone wouldn't recognize it.

That AT&T rep sounds like someone who has no idea what he/she is talking about and just trying to get you out the door as quickly as possible. If the phone is "reporting the information" wrong, then doesn't that imply there is a problem with the phone or the card?

When you connect the phone to your computer as a removable disk drive, how big does the computer say it is? Do you happen to have a separate card reader that you can use to connect it to the computer, eliminating the phone entirely? I suggest copying all the data from the card to your computer and then formatting the card. If you're running Windows I would also recommend downloading this application to do the formatting of the SD card, https://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter_3/ instead of using the Windows format tool. I've used it in the past for cards I've used in my DAP and noticed much better performance. If after formatting, everything still reports the incorrect size, you probably got a mislabeled card. I'd take it back to AT&T and have it replaced.
