ordered the nexus one last night, heres to hoping i like it!

Yup, not sure when its gonna get here but either way I hope I like it! Im coming from a cliq and gotta say, I love physical keyboards. I never saw myself ever getting a phone without one, but the nexus just seemed to good to pass up, I just had to take a chance. Im going to keep my cliq just in case I cant get used to the virtual keyboard so I can always go back.

Anyway theres really no point to this topic other then that, but others are free to give their insites! Whenever it comes in (hopefully today but probably not) I'll let you guys know how I like it!

On a side note, I ordered it at about 10 last night so what do you guys think the chances are of it coming in today with the free overnight shipping? Im not even sure if they shipped it yet lol

I ordered it at 10 pm and got it 2 days later. They need 1 day to process your shipment and Fedex/UPS doesn't pick up the second you order.
Forget the cliq man.....

I ordered mine around 3PM Friday. It is now Monday and I got an e-mail that FedEx will be delivering it tomorrow at around 3PM .

I can't wait!!

Except the e-mail had my new phone number.. and I'm not too happy about the area code.. I guess I should have figured "Where will you be using your phone?" had something to do with this.

I wonder if I can change it for free since I never had the option of picking one?

But anyways according to tracking, my phone is supposed to come tommorow. Hoping I like it, not sure if it can replace my cliq yet! But I'll let you guys know how I like the phone when I get it (even though you probably don't care haha)

Haha I'm hoping! But I'm not sure if all the good things the nexus one has going for it are enough for me to get over the fact that it doesn't have a physical keyboard! Well I'll find out today if it comes in like its supposed to, I knew I took a big risk by spending all that money so I really hope I like it!

As for the area code, I called and explained my situation but they said there was no way to avoid paying $15 to change my number.

BUT... I called back and told them that I was simply given the "wrong" area code... they were more than happy to change it for free!!

I love love my N1. I have used all the iPhones and still have a BB Bold 9000 for work. I am slowly moving away from the BB completely as the N1 blows it away and is wayyy better than the iPhone.

I've had this phone for 3 days and I'm already obsessed! I keep finding new things that I can do.. esp. with some of the neat apps like barcode scanner and the sky map.

Question though.. I read all these reviews when N1 was launched stating that it doesn't have a loud speaker and that it just raises the volume of the earpiece-speaker thing. If this is true... What the hell is the little hole to the right of the LED flash that plays sound when I'm listening to Pandora??

who did you call? I am having a similar issue and have been trying to change a number. I have no intention of paying the fee which they tell me is $10. I have invites remaining and could easily create a new gmail account and invite myself and get a new number for free but I would rather keep it all in one location.

You'll get used to the keyboard. It predicts and learns well. Just got the dock/cradle tonight. I keep discovering new things I like. Hooked the dock up to a stereo - great for music, the ringer is louder, and the screen stays on, and it charges. lovin it!

I had my area code with T-Mobile changed.

With Nexus One you already have Google Voice on the phone. Just start it up and set it up. I did. I asked for "invite" several months ago, never got one.

Ohhhhhh. I learned something new today.

Thats cool, how does the google voicemail work out? is it better than if i just stuck with t-mobile? What else does it offer aside from transcripted voicemail.

I haven't set up my voicemail with t-mobile yet? would this matter?


Also, I wanted to get invited so I could get a new number.. I liked the idea of having a Google number but I guess this is pointless since I'm stuck with a 2-year Tmobile contract now....

I did not use voice mail yet, only international calls. You can set it up anytime, Google number etc. You can use Google number for more then one phone (same #). There is more options, I did not checked all of them as of yet.

Besides the transcription, it uses your data plan to play the voicemail, rather than dialing in, thus, you don't use minutes listening to your voicemail.

I've had the phone for a few days so far and love it! The touchscreen is very easy to type on, I just still miss the emulators ....if you guys know what those are, and I'm not sure that the developer of all those good nes snes etc. emulators is going to be able to add multitouch on-screen controls, I've heard he's been having a lot of trouble.

I just ordered mines. I have never been so nervous about purchasing a phone. getting the first ever iphone upon release comes close but something about this phone has me shaking in my boots. I hope I have made a good decision. I just sold my mytouch for 300 so that made it a bit easier. things are always easier when it doesnt hurt your pockets as much. lol

im in nyc right now and will be till tuesday.then im going to my moms to visit. so i went to have it delivered here and the total was 575.00. then i entered my moms address in ct and the total came out to 529.00 no tax. go figure. needless to say i sent it to my moms

lol i used to see you all over the mt3g forum im surprised u dumped it...... did you get credit checked when ordering the phone unlocked?
and when is it to arrive?
