Help Evo 4g screen is black but phone still works need help.

so i recently droped my evo on a hard surface wat happened was there is a very small crack on the screen and on the very side of the evo it is black but sometimes my whole screen just goes black but my phone still works like i can still answer my phone. i was wondering what kind of repair does my phone need (reason my phones screen turns black) does it just need a new touch screen or has the software been damaged.

ps.sometimes if i smack my screen it would comeback on but after a while goes black. i also found this on amazon and was wondering if this is the solution to my problem.

i would not touch anything that has to do with opening up my phone like that. just take it in to sprint and see what they can do for you.
