Bionic vs Charge - Should I trade?

I currently have a Charge, purchased from Costco about 1.5 m ago. I have another 1.5 m to trade it in at Costco. I was hoping to get a SGSII, but thats out now. Should I trade it for Bionic? Looks like I'll have to drop around an extra $130.

What is the resale of a charge vs bionic?

Hoping to get the Prime in a few months.

I should also state that after 14 days, we're only supposed to exchange the device for that same device. Does it always work like that, no. And we're pretty lenient at our kiosk (depending on the customer and the complaint). But you may want to check with your kiosk to see their view of things.

You're going to be pushing it to get the Prime if it doesn't drop on the stated date. Given VZW's aim to release on Thursdays, that makes it either the 6 Oct or 13 Oct.

Better check exactly when your 90 days are up.

My 90 days are up at the end of Sept. I am trying to trade the charge for the bionic. I will have to sell one of them and buy the prime later.

look a tit this way - charge will be an older phone when the Prime *does* come out - Bionic will be a newer one.

Then again, that could be disadvantageous as well, if the locked bootloader is not rootable, or if the LTE radio turns out to be a flub, or whatever, and thus the Bionic becomes a device no one wants....

yankee - if I buy at a CostCo in ATL, can I exchange it at another CostCo?

Absolutely. Another convenience of Costco. :)

Also note this: in case you did wind up getting a lemon, make sure to return it to Costco first and not do a manufacturer's warranty. This way, you get a new phone guaranteed, but also if you did the warranty replacement you wouldn't be able to return the replacement at Costco.

So true. I know alot of ppl had high hopes for the Thunderbolt. I think that didnt pan out too well.

We can go over the specs list all day...but until this phone gets out in real world use for some weeks, months....we dont know really know if the Bionic is a good phone or a flop.

I have these words for you....GummyCharged FE 2.0, GummyComb theme, Go Launcher EX with Honeycomb theme, Voodoo Lagfix and EP1Q modems (radios).

Put that combination on your Droid Charge and you will be happy as can be with no real reason to upgrade right now.

It's an unbelievable combo and made this phone pretty much brand new.

Just my $.02.
