Help Dell streak apps reset ?

Well... I just returned home to find some sort of reset on my dell streak 7. After it booted up it prompted to log into my google account, and all my apps are reset. They all appear to still be on the tablet, just no user data, all in their first-time use form, and some of them force close upon attempting to open them. I checked my sd card, still mounted, pictures still on it. I thought I knew what I was doing, and am somewhat of an expierienced android user, but I don't understand:thinking:. Thanks in advance for your time

Martimus, you put this in the wrong forum, he needs the "Dell Streak 7" forum.

From what you described, it sounds like your device may have got a software update. I would check your "About" tab and see what version of OS you are now on and see if it is different than what you were on.

On my "5", it tends to clean up allot of setting when it downloads a new OS, not sure why it doesn't keep your settings.

Us 4g streak 7 owners only wish for updates, we dont get them. I am hearing that wifi streakers are getting honeycombed next month, 4g users aren't getting anything to my knowledge.
I did read another thread on here http://androidforums.com/introducti...ell-streak-7-they-about-replace-5th-time.html. seems member blondie1 has had the same problem. From that thread, I guess I could try uninstalling apps until I find the culprit but that doesn't sound very promising and I know better than to try tmobile customer support.

Guess I'll go cry to dj_steve:cool:, lol, I've been looking for an excuse to root, this just might be it.

Silly question but i'm not seeing a Dell streak 7 forum!!
Am i just losing it?

and as much as it stinks to hear, if it already wiped your app data out i would just factory reset and get a fresh start

Well as an update, I ended up gettin frustrated and just doing a hard reset on the device, after talking to customer care at T-Mobile and realizing the rep knew less than I did. ( not a compliment to myself by any means) I did back up my data prior to the reset.. is their any way that I can continue on in the same spot with my games, for example , by placing the files in the right spot? Its not that important, was just curious for the most part.

Only if you were rooted and backed up app data with Titanium Backup or something similar....

Moving to Dell streak 7 section:)
