Root Up Dates

I see that there is a new update for the EVO. Does anyone know if I can do the update & if so how. I would think it be different since its rooted.

Thanks to all that reply

If you are rooted DO NOT ACCEPT THE UPDATE! You could possibly Bork your phone. Or worse yet you could loose root.
When you load a custom recovery you disable the phones ability to accept an official ota update. The stock recovery is used for accepting ota updates, that's it. So when you load clockwork recovery or Amon-ra recovery, the stock software is gone. Thus you don't really know what will happen if an ota is accepted, it can really do some strange things.

never accept an ota if you are rooted. it will screw your phone up or unroot you. to get updated you can just flash the rom that x linked to. or you can wait til roms like mikg or synergy have the ota cooked into them. at some point the devs will release it. just be patient. though some people really must have the voice to text ability in their car so they can just flash the rooted ota rom now.

yes and no. when you flash the rooted ota you will be updated yes to software 4.53.651.1, but only on that rom. once you flash or restore nandroid back to your current rom, then your software version will change back down to 4.24.
