Help Amazon Cloud Player locks the phone up

Does anyone here use Amazon's Cloud Drive and Cloud Player? My wife and I both bought Photons and LOVE the phones, except that when either of us use Amazon's cloud player it either force closes or completely locks up the phone. Has anyone else seen or heard of this problem?

Streaming music. The Sirius/XM app streams fine on the Photon. Cloud Player worked fine on my Evo 4G, but locks this phone up after 3 or 4 songs.

Good to know, I'll try and see if I can replicate that.

Edit: confirmed. I turned on my wifi when I got home, fired up Amazon Cloud Player on my Photon, and let it play. Worked fine for three songs, then stopped before starting the fourth. When I picked it up to see what was going on, the lock screen refused to acknowledge input. I could turn the screen on and off but nothing else. Couldn't turn it off via power button, either; had to pull the battery to reset the phone.

Sounds like we need to poke Amazon.

Is this an Amazon problem or a Photon problem? Although I just applied the latest Photon update and I'm trying to test if I still have this problem. It was pretty consistent before so I usually did not use the cloud player app, even though that's where I store most of my music so it was annoying to not be able to use it.

I tried contacting Amazon. Sent them an email from the "report a problem with this app" link and got a generic response wanting more info. Sent that, got a response saying they didn't get my response (???) so I sent it again. Then they sent me another response acknowledging the additional info but also saying I needed to call in with my problem. At that point I gave up.

I haven't tried just using the player with local files (i.e., not streaming from the cloud). I might try that this weekend to see if it's the streaming that's causing issues.

I've had it mess up with local files. But it doesn't always. Today I thought maybe there was a problem with when notifications come in, but really I don't know what the exact cause is. All I know is that I've never been able to use the app for more than an hour without it becoming unresponsive. At that point I have to restart the phone in order for it to play music again (with any app). So as a result I just don't use the Amazon app that much for listening to music. Usually I'll test it after an update comes out to see if the problem has been fixed. And I also use it to download music I buy. I would like to see the player fixed because it would be much more convenient to play straight from the cloud than having to download my music.
