Thinking about switching to sprint..(is this a good plan?)

I currently have metro pcs as my phone carrier and I am thinking about venturing out to see what the others offer..
I was on the sprint website recently and I could get "everything data plan" with unlimited text & data and 450 minutes (to talk since I ever rarely talk on the phone)
I would have to pay roughly $80 a month for it and thats with a smartphone as well.
Is that a good deal?
Which phone is best to get? I've been thinking about the evo (if I do get sprint)

At verizon (for the same type of plan) I'll be paying roughly $90 a month (with a smartphone)
I'm not sure which to do..I'm thinking more sprint though because I would like to get the evo if I do switch..

I would like to hear your opinions or suggestions.
thank you!

Yes, that's a good plan. The Everything Data 450 plan is pry the best plan in wireless. Keep in mind, Verizon may only be 10 bucks more, but the plan does not include as much as Sprint gives you. You're getting a lot more than 450 mins in theory with Sprint because they give you unlimited calling to ANY mobile phone in America, regardless of carrier... Also, only Sprint gives you truly unlimited data. So in the big picture, Sprints value is unbeatable.

EVO 4G is a great phone, but at one year old, its not the most advanced anymore. Good phone, but I'd consider the EVO 3D or Photon 4G if you want the latest technology.

Also, Sprint has a lot of available discounts depending on where you work. You can even get 10% off a month just for banking at a credit union or if you're a AAA member. My employer discount gives me 25% off my Sprint bill each month. Big savings! :) SEE: http://androidforums.com/sprint/81670-do-i-qualify-discount.html#post769879
Just scroll through the Google doc's links and see if your employer is listed.

Also, if you switch to Sprint... Don't miss out on their current promo... They'll credit your account 125 bucks if you port your old cell number to Sprint. Basically a month and a half of free service in your case.
See: www.Sprint.com/switchtosprint
Just don't forget, you only have 72 hrs to go to this website and fill out the application after you port your number, to take advantage of this deal.

If it makes any difference, I've been with Sprint for about 10yrs and been pretty happy.

Good luck with your decision! :)

My friend has the evo 3d. Its pretty intresting I think. So I'm debating to maybe get the new evo 3d.
Thank you everyone! I really appriecate it.
I'm going to go to a sprint store next week and set up everything. I'm still using the old provider (I needed time to think about it) But I think I have made my choice.
I'm excited! ahaha!

A couple people I work with have sprint and they said it works just fine. I also looked up where I live (did lots of research on it! ahah) and there wasn't anything bad about the area..only if you go out to temperance then I'll have some issues..but I never go out there anyways aha.
Thats sweet! I will definetly do that.
Thanks again!
