Ok Once Your Done And @ The End Or File Upload Area. U Basically Leave Everything As Is. Only Thing U Going 2 Change Is On The Right Of File Upload Section. U Select, Download Settings, In The Kitchen Settings. Then Where It Says Upload Your Own Files, U Upload The framework-res.apk & twframework-res.apk From Shabby's Rom U Have. Thats It. Submit work in "Summary" section & It Should Work Fine After That. Just Have To Wait To Receive The Files U Created After U Submitted.

okay i followed that there outline..got a nice blue theme working i got to the end, left all the same and uploaded framework files...now...i tried using shabby theme flasher but, what needs to be done with these files other than just placing them in correct folders?

for mines i just only needed 2 change the fonts/frameworks/media folders. i added em 2 the shabbyrom & pushed it that way.

but u can make a CWM zip for it 2 push them... ive never made a cwm zip though, so i really dont know how 2.. u gotta ask someone who has made a CWM theme allready & ask how are they zipping & signing it.

What do the files in the META-INF folders do, I mean, what are they for?

I've been messing around with UOTK.
It's not what you think...we're just friends.
Anyway...lets say, I'm using the framework-res.apk from Bloodawn's Notification Power Widgets and Extended Power Menu 1.1 for my theme. Once its done and downloaded, I take the generated framework-res.apk from the UOT zip and place it into the framework folder replacing the framework-res.apk that came with Bloodawn's MOD initially.

What do I do with the META-INF folder that came in the UOT zip? Should I use this or the one that came with the MOD?

Also, there's a settings folder in there that's been laughing at me, should that go into the system folder or at the root of the zip?

Much Thanks!!

to make shit easier for you try doin this

download http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37768988/theme.zip
make sure you have 7zip installed and right click on theme.zip and go to 7zip/open archive
drag and drop the services.jar, android.policy.jar, framework.jar from the widget mod to the system/framework folder inside the zip and copy your framework-res.apk you edited to there too
drag the powercontrolsettings.apk from the mod to system/app inside the zip
if you have any boot animations from the kitchen drag that into the system/media folder. fonts go to system/font

you can rename the theme.zip to anything you want

you should be good to flash it now

I suppose the META INF files are universal? Using the folder you provided in the theme zip you made (Thanks much!!) my theme flashed with no issues, then again, I hadn't had any issues flashing before. I created my themes inside of a copy of the UOT zip the same way you instructed above. I just wasn't sure which Meta folder I should have been using, seems it doesn't matter as they all seem to flash fine. I thought that there might have been important themeing info in there. Thanks again for the help!

Also, thanks for updating Cool Blue! That helped SO much!

Oh, while I've got ya on the line Bloodawn, is there a way to make the off state of the powerbar indicators darker? Id rather the off state be much darker than it currently is, if not black (I like my off, off). Is it a matter of changing the transparency of a png? or could I just black out said png? also, the name of the png? is it in the framework apk or the powerbar apk?

I've got to edit an xml file dont I?

META INF contains the zip signing info and the flashing script, idk about the kitchen's script but mine works with all the file formats

I don't remember for sure but i think stat_bgoff.9.png might be the png and its in framework-res.apk

Ah! the installation script. Figured it had to be somewhere. Gotcha and thanks!

So, I found the stat_bgoff.9.png file, edited it (went with a solid black), replaced it, yada yada, no difference. Noticed that there were two more in there right next to it (stat_bgon.9.png and another stat_bg png), so I did the same to them (went with a solid black), replaced them, yada yada, no difference still.

Ant ideas?
