Root [ROM][DROIDX] ApeX 2.0.0 Release Candidate (RC4) (10/9/2011)

Unbelieveable. I followed these steps exactly and my market STILL doesn't work... You flashed the apex market fix.zip from the second post in this thread after the droid-life one? I am really getting frustrated now

you need to uninstall updates after you install the droid life one. then re flash the dark market.

It's actually very simple. This is what I did.

1. SBF to Froyo
2. Take OTA .602 update
3. Use New One-Click Root method for GB
4. Install Rom

Easy as pie. Although my method left me with a market where I can't buy any apps, and it seems all the fixes that work for everybody else don't work for me. YMMV. Good luck :)

If you're going to SBF back to .340, you can use the AIO file to get directly to Apex. Saves some time taking the OTA and then rooting it.

is this newer than Test 2 on fabdroid.com?

Yes, but you should be able to flash this over test 2 without wiping.

Found a BUG: When I click on a phone number on a webpage, it should go to dialer, and have the number plugged in there. However, it goes to dialer, and does not input the number. If I click on the phone number on a web page, and hit dial, same thing, goes to dialer, but doesn't input the number. Only way is to copy and paste number in. Any fix to this problem?

I am not experiencing this, and tried multiple pages with phone numbers to recreate the bug.

ok the only problem im hearing from this rom is the market correct? how are you guys flashing this dark market? is it the same way you flash a rom..its leaving me a little puzzled and im slightly confused, hows the battery life also? and where can i get the rom and this dark market if i am to flash it?

the market issue seems to be persistent among gb Roms, not just apex. Some people claim to have fixed it but I still have not

Hi fab,
Thanks once more for your awesome work. I flashed to rc3 from rc2, but forgot to write my system, and ask my apps/settings were still there when I came back. No biggie except that I seemed to have lost root. When I hit the su app, I get force close.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Thanks so much!

Because of the drastic change between superuser 2.0 and 3.0 (RC2 and RC3, respectively), your data is no longer compatible (since you did not wipe it as you were instructed to! :D), so go into Settings, Applications, Manage, All, Superuser, and clear data.

hello,

i installed the blur camera .apk which was easy enough and it makes the blur camera accessible on the device..however, i do not want the aosp camera hanging around..

any way to remove the AOSP camera?

In terminal:

su
sys -rw
rm /system/app/Camera.apk
