I wish vzw would get off thier a$$ already. My NE2 has been up since April.

You realize we're only like 2 months or so away from the Nexus One being on Verizon right? Verizon busted out the only Android 2.0 phone (at the time) like 3 months ago along with the Eris. It sucks waiting but I haven't seen other companies belt them out like that recently.

T mobiles upcoming line up seems pretty formidable, and IMO I cant see Verizon getting behind the N1 when it finally arrives to the Google store if they have something (ie:passion/Incredible/Bravo) that they can sell. Although I dont claim to know all the intricate details of Verizons deal regarding the N1 - it seems to me that VZW would rather sell and support a phone from thier inventory, as opposed to supporting a phone that they didnt sell.

After reading plenty of posts from other members (newsradio in particular) this seems to be more of what he has always referred to. Correct me if I am wrong, but those look like they could be capacitive buttons. It has red in the earpiece which also could indicate red in other places on the phone which goes along with this:

Droid Developer Verizon has something “INCREDIBLE” up their sleeves..

I don't know, it seems completely plausible to me that the phone that comes to VZW could be a version of the Supersonic as opposed to the Bravo.

That's just my thought process, feel free to chime in and smack me down if I'm wrong.

I think he said red back, and the screen is a 3.7, not the 4.3" that we have heard about? I don't know, at this point, I will wait till the end of the month and if something does not come out for Verizon, I will just order the Droid, or maybe even keep my 6800 a little longer.

Yeah, but he also said it was a dark room and he really wasn't allowed to do much. I assume that he'd be able to recognize the .6" difference, but who knows. All I know if I want an HTC android phone, I can't stand the Droid personally. I like the look of the N1, but I hate all the videos I've seen of the issues w/the capacitive buttons needed to be touched in a certain area to work. I really hope that VZW surprises us all and comes out w/the supersonic or bravo. The only thing I don't like about the supersonic is lack of trackball/trackpad. I used to have the LG Versa (although a small screen) it was very hard to be precise when trying to correct words in texts and such. Either way I just wish they'd put something HTC out, I'm ready for a new phone now!

Doubtful they've gone to production with the CDMA Nexus One. My hope is that a lot of these little nuances that are cropping up with the T-Mobile Nexus One will be fixed for Verizon.

I certainly hope so, I really don't like the fact that it's going to only be supported by Google, but I think i'd probably give it a shot. Like I said, I really do like the phone a lot...too bad they went with a trackball...maybe they could include an abacus instead of a calculator too lol :D

It might actually be nice if support only went through Google. Problem is they fix the software, but its up to HTC to fix the hardware. Thats what sucks about the current system.

Possibly, but I don't know that I like the fact that if you have a total failure that you'll be without a phone for days. I like the convenience of being able to walk into VZW and be like yo fix this shit up

Well ya that would be better, especially one originally based in the US. But with the N1 just having to deal with 1 company would be an improvement. Right now if you think you have a software problem you call Google. If its really hardware they tell you to contact HTC.
Pretty Fu-barred system. Yet I'm so sick of waiting that if the Incredible is not on the immediate horizon at the time I'll get a N1.

I'm with you on this, again I really like the look of the N1 personally and if it were out for VZW right now chances are I would already have it in hand and be very happy (it's not hard to do after moving from a BlackBerry Tour). At this point I may end up just hopping on the first HTC android phone w/at least 3.7" screen and Android 2.0 or above.

im thinking if the supersonic is to hit in march, it may not be 4g like speculated, i really think it is still too early for a 4g phone, sprint has said not to expect this till Q4 anyway just my .02

I am going to have to disagree with you on this one, Covert. The Supersonic is a WiMAX phone. Why would they release it and not have WiMAX turned on (if that's what you're saying) and what about the people in the 35 cities that already have WiMAX? My personal opinion is that Sprint needs to get this phone out sooner - not later.

I'd also like to know where you found the information that "sprint has said not to expect this till Q4"? The only thing I read concerning the 4th Qtr is that Sprint expects to have their 4G network available in 80 cities by the end of this year.

i have to agree. there 4g coverage is just not large enough to make a profit on. yes theres 35 citys that have wimax already. you get outside of there well not going to have the wimax i see it comeing in 4th quarter i believe one of the very first leaks of the super sonic had said 4th quarter then a pic popped up and everyone started saying march but i dont recall actually seeing anything creditable that it would come earlier then 4th quarter

For all those with doubts, and you know who you are, I'd like to see your face, when you realize I was right all along. ;)

Seriously, Shawn, most posts in this particular forum concerning the Bravo and the Supersonic are rumors and are based on people's emotions, wants, disbelief's and passions. Just because I want the rumor to be true about the Supersonic coming to Sprint in March, doesn't make it so. The Supersonic may never come out, nonetheless, I believe a WiMAX phone will be released soon. Hopefully, there will be news about the Bravo and the Supersonic coming out of Barcelona next week. I have my fingers crossed.

I followed the news pretty carefully through December in regards to the Nexus One. To my amazement, almost everything reported by BGR, Engaget, Android and Me, and many others came true. Today, these same organizations are reporting that the Supersonic will be coming to Sprint in March. Again, that doesn't make it true, but I don't think it's that far fetched either.

If you're interested, I did my homework and started another thread in the Sprint forum on this subject and your comments would certainly be welcome.
