Root Can't access stock recovery

Today I got a random reboot after changing something in GB CM7, and upon the reboot it'd just bootloop. /sigh

I thought, fine.. I'll try pulling the battery for a bit and see if it'd boot. And then when that didn't work, I was going to try and go into stock recovery to wipe data/cache. After getting the ! symbol after holding home+power, pressing search doesn't do anything. double /sigh

Last option? Grabbed the .602 sbf and sbf'd my phone. Unfortunately, like always, the phone is bootlooping with a need for me to wipe the cache. Well.. still can't get into stock recovery lol.

Any ideas?

since your on GB, you have to use both vol down and vol up to get into stock recovery, the search button is just for froyo

And I see you use the power button to make selections.. wth is Moto thinking changing such an integral thing? :|

Nah, for some reason stock recovery is not accessible in .602 anymore. It puts you into bootloader mode. The more I play with .602, the more issues I am finding; i.e, no recovery mode, problems with rom mgr.,etc.

How do you navigate once in there. Im able to access it but cant find a way to navigate once I get the android with the exclamtion point. Need to wipe data and cache on stock recovery.

Never mind, I was able to access it once I read VS post. Power+home to access it and both volume+- to bring up the menu.

When I first did an sbf up to .602 and installed a rom, I got into stock recovery with no problems. Had to uses the step like VS posted, because Motorola changed it, but it does work, or did for me.

Here are the instructions from here http://androidforums.com/droid-x-al...ad-602-sbf-root-process-updated-9-9-11-a.html that I used (Thanks SimsDelt) and they worked fine for me.

hold down the home button while your power the device back on... keep holding the home button till you see a triangle with an exclamation point, then let go and hit both volume buttons at the same time to enter Recovery. Use the volume buttons to move down to "wipe data/cache" press the Power button to select then scroll down to "yes" and press Power again. When it finishes (2 - 3 minutes) select "reboot" using the Power button again.

It's goofy, to say the least, having to use both volume buttons to get into recovery and then using the power button to select things instead of the camera button. Takes some getting use to.
