so i got my moment yesterday and i have been loving it so far.

I do have a few questions about the phone. i was wondering if there is a way to make text messages alerts show up on my screen. i have an app that shows if i have one unread but it is pretty small. every other phone i've had had a pretty big notification for texts. also is there a way to have the screen light up when you get a text? there is a sound that plays when i get a text, but the screen does not light up. not sure if im just missing something, but is there a way to set different tones for different notification? right now the same thing plays when i plug my phone in, that plays when i get a text. none of these are huge issues, but i am just curious if there is a way to make some changes on the phone. im sure ill figure it out or just get used to it. thanks

I use chompSM because it does make your screen come out of "sleep" when you get a text. It's just for the 1st alert but that is all I need since I just keep it in front of me at work. Then it keeps vibrating etc. You can remove the notification sound when you plug in your charger or others by going into settings, sound & display, notifications. You can change your notification sounds by using something like Ringdroid and making it anything you want. The phone will save it on your SD card and make a folder for alerts, ringtones, etc. :)

I switched from Handcent to ChompSMS. I like the interface much better. They are both good, though. You just have to decide which one you like better.
