Reviews and Video Thread

I've been google searching for about a week. I'm really surprised that although usually biased, there is yet to be a wirefly.com review. I want to see benchmarks and side by sides, etc.

Me too! I remember there were a lot of hands on videos of the EVO 4G well before it came out. Some good things to keep me busy while waiting for the big release day.

It's all marketing to create buzz. I'm going to wait 4 months for all the bugs to be worked out and to see what else comes out in October. I hope by January whatever it is I will buy will be on sale.

October is my cut off date I don't care what comes out after that.
My next phone will be a Evo3d, Photon, SET4G, or iPhone5 (only if it has WT)

My current phone is a Evo4g

See the thing is, the epic 4g touch in 9/16 will be the best phone in the united states, there is NO debate about that. If you already have an evo 3d I don't think the difference is that huge.

As for what is next - iphone 5 (unknown release date, likely oct or nov) and Nexus Prime (unknown release and unknown carriers, unlikely sprint and likely January 2012).

The consensus is that the prime will outclass and maybe even eclipse all phones on the market today, and any android fan will of course scoff at the iphone (any version) for their own reasons. So my conclusion is this:

1. Wait for Nexus prime and pray that it comes out within 5 months and also pray it'll be on the carrier you are already in a contract with or....
2. Get an epic 4g touch which will PROBABLY only be at WORST 20% slower than the Nexus Prime.

I think its a no brainer here. While i'm still waiting for a full review before I put in my preorder, im 95% sure i'll be getting the epic 4g touch.

I was really impressed by the reviewer. I had expected some amateur sales bit, and instead the guy was really well-spoken and unbiased.

This is probably one of the better reviews I have seen on any phone. His delivery is much better than what I have seen on Cnet and others. Nice review.

Yeah he does a good job, I agree with you.

Another one of my favorites is MobileTechReview, the ladies name is Lisa, she's really good also.

MobileTechReview doesn't have any videos yet on the E4GT, but its a good source to watch for reviews.

OG TRIPLE OMG!!!! :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

URGENT

IF YOU LOOK AT THE WIREFLY VIDEO ^^^ YOU WILL SEE THAT THE SAMSUNG LOGO ON THE FRONT OF THE PHONE IS NOW ON THE BACK AND THE FRONT OF THE PHONE IS JUST...... CLEAN!!!:):D

But it doesn't say Galaxy SII which is pretty disappointing as well....

This is what it looked like at the Conference:
Epic 4G Touch Hands-on Video [Galaxy S2] - YouTube

It looks much nicer w/o the Samsung logo on the front. It makes me want this phone even more!!!:mad::mad:

I wonder if this is a pre-production unit on wirefly? Maybe that is the reason why it doesn't have the Samsung branding on front and quadrant was having issues.

I like the look better with the logo on back, but I am happy either way.

Definitely thinking it is a pre-production unit. The back is exactly the same as the leaked photo from a while back. Also it doesn't have Galaxy S 2 on the back like at the Samsung Conference.
