Root Titanium won't remove Car Home 2.2.1.2

Evo 4g
CyanogenMod 7

This morning I attached my phone to my computer for a bit of a charge. The Car Home opened instantly and won't go away. Every time I close it, Car Home opens again. It won't give me 5 seconds alone with other apps ;)

I've tried deleting it with with Titanium Backup, but it doesn't work. It stops with the little android guy and a big exclamation mark. It reads:

ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.0.5
Finding Update package...
E: unknown volume for path [SYSTEM:app/CarHomeGoogle.apk]
E: Can't mount SYSTEM:app/CarHomeGoogle.apk
Installation aborted

Any ideas??

try wiping dalvik cache and cache and see if that fixes it. have you tried just freezing it in tb first? and it sounds like your trying to install it rather then delete it. not sure why it would say installation aborted if you are trying to delete it.

just something to think about. i would really recommend that you switch recoveries to amon ra 2.3 rather then clockwork mod. a lot of things you will not be able to flash with clockwork mod.

basically, google went and change the type od scripting they were going to use. they changed from amend to edify scripts. clockwork mod is the only recovery that switched to edify. not sure why but most flashable zips uses amend scripting. however, amon ra 2.3(recommended), clockwork mod 2.6, and the new TWRP recovery all support bith scripting. go to the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html, and follow the directions in the switching recovery section. it just a suggestion.

Imma get on that now! Also, I've successfully uninstalled it but it seems to pop up once in a while. Not as a program, but as an icon an the top of my screen...When it is visible my entire phone goes out of wack (reloads pages over and over/drops my keyboard down before I'm finished typing).

I've never put a new kernel on my phone (seeing as I'm a n00b), but do you think that or a radio might help?

neither will help with your car app icon popping up. once you have amon ra 2.3 i would try and wipe dalvik cache and cache. it might help.

It's still there. Now my phone automatically turns into speaker-mode when I answer a phone call. Plus, I'm dropping calls and I've never done so before.

When I open my applications it won't let me go through them. One touch and the freeze. After they freeze the applications go away.

I read that this may have been caused by a bad sensor?

have you tried flashing another roms and see if the problem is still there? and if it is still there then i could be a hardware issue and you might want to take it in.
