Launcher Pro Question

That kind of sucks. And I just found out you cant uninstall from the app drawer (or I'm not seeing it). So far only the overview and the smoother effects are the only things better than Go Launcher that I could see (I've been using it for the past few hours).

You can uninstal from app drawer. Drag the icon as if you were going to drop it on your homescreen, but instead hold it over the bin at the bottom for a moment until it asks about uninstalling.

The inability to re-arrange the order of screens and maximum no. of screens limited to 7 are the only shortcomings of LP (I use LPP) w.r.t. Go Launcher. However, the smoother transitions, app drawer and screen previews more than make up for it.

Also, if you dig deeper, you'll find out that Launcher Pro has more customisation settings (like changing the highlight press colour, etc) which Go Launcher doesn't.

I was high on Go Launcher for about a month, but the screen preview lagginess got to me and I switched back to LPP. I'm not going back to Go Launcher unless they fix that.

I just went back to Go Launcher about an hour ago. It seems that due to the shortcomings of LPP, I cant use it to experiment on what screen looks I want, since I basically trashed all my screens a while ago on Tw and Go. I think I'll experiment on Go for a while on what look I want, then maybe do that on LP. The ability to rearrange, delete and add screens on Go make such "experimenting" easier.

However, I'm trying to look for a calendar widget I can use on LP Free that works like Go Calendar. I'm not really high on paying for it.

Android Pro Widgets combined with Launcher Pro (Colorize widgets don't work on LP for some reason) is what you need.

The free version of APW has almost everything except the Timeline feature which is not a deal breaker IMO

So, I finally set up Launcher Pro the way I want a launcher for now. Its smooth and nice, had a couple of force closes on me though.

Another question, how do you make the wallpaper show in the app drawer?

Also, how do you set it so that the notification bar is invisible, but when there is an event, it reappears like on Go Launcher. When I try to hide it, it doesnt reappear

AFAIK, you can't change the background in the app drawer of Launcher Pro.

As for the second part, long press on any one of the dock icons and assign a swipe gesture to it. In the list for swipe gestures, you should see an option called 'show/hide status bar'.

Hmm. I was wanting for automatic. I dont think I need to assign gestures when pressing menu button also shows the status bar.
